That mentality is exactly why we blow 16 or 20 point leads.

No it isn't, and you guys are ridiculous. NBA teams go on runs, it's what the entire game is about, and that's why we blow some leads, because it happens to literally every team.

Probably so, but we are playing some really, really ugly basketball. It's bad.

We're shooting 50%, have 20 assists in under three quarters, are holding them to 40%, have 3 fewer turnovers than them... Literally the only thing that we're doing poorly is rebounding. Our expectations are completely beyond reality.

NaturalThunder wrote:We look awful right now. We're playing ugly with the T-Wolves who, miraculously, are playing even uglier. We just look like a really bad basketball team. I don't care that we're up by 16. The Warriors and Spurs would already be up by 30-35 if the Wolves were playing this terrible against them.

No they wouldn't, but even if they would do you think the Spurs and Golden State are the only examples of good basketball in the entire league? We went through this last week, we have more 20+ point wins than anyone but San Antonio, you guys just don't notice when they only win by 8-10 points, which happens way more often than 20. We're playing NBA teams, we aren't an all time great team and we aren't 20 points better than ANY other NBA team.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I'll say this: Waiters just made a really nice, athletic defensive stop under the rim.

And it's a 10 point game. We've looked really terrible this half.

Morrow with one shot all game. I can't wait until next year when Cam dominates the ball for the second unit and Dion is in some other uniform. Mitch and Morrow will look like legitimate players then.

We've scored 26 points this half. There's 5:29 left in the game.

Are we still nitpicking? This is what happens when you get lazy and don't execute and play smart basketball when you are up by 16.

I get being annoyed, but it's the same crap every game. No matter what happens we're never satisfied unless we win by 40 and I'm tired of the overreactions. If we don't win by 20 then we're trash and nobody is even trying, but that's not true. We're a good but not great team and we aren't going to blow everyone out.

Keep shooting standstill threes with a hand in your face KD, it's worked so well tonight.

We don't even have to win by 20, we were already up 20. No reason we should only be up 5.
