Vikings and bengals have been robbed lol

I fully agree for the most part. I feel bad for the Vikings and Walsh. Marvin Lewis lost the Game for the Bengals though. Just got the int at the 26 yard line. What's wrong with 3 straight kneel downs and kicking a 46 yard field goal. You force Pitt to burn all 3 time outs, put yourself up by 4 points and leaving them under 40 seconds to go 80 yards for a win. The Hill fumble and all that other garbage, doesn't even take place if Lewis takes leadership, puts the game away and takes him team off the field with a win without allowing the non sense thuggery to even take place.

you run the ball every time there, you are more likely to miss the 46 yard field goal than fumble the ball. heck probably getting that fg blocked and returned just as likely as fumbling the ball there.

But on 4th down, after burning the Steeler's 3 time outs, you don't have to even kick a FG. You have other options. You could always just take another kneel down and make them go 70 yards with less than 40 seconds. Or punt. Or shot gun hike, and run around for another 12 seconds or so and then punt. There were many safer options.

You're saying they should have done something that no one ever does.

You run the ball, because you can possibly get a 1st down and end the game right there. If not, you're still running clock and forcing them to burn timeouts (and every yard you gain makes a potential FG much more manageable). If you kneel, you're not even giving yourself the chance to get a 1st down.

The only thing the RB is even supposed to worry about is to not fumble the football. That's his only job, because that's literally the only thing that would screw that up. Hill messed up, big time.

Blame the RB, not the strategy. The strategy was perfect, and it's why every team in the league does it that way.
