Like to see BC back in the league...

Overall:
-Above Average Drafter
-Below Average FA signer
-Average Trader

As per Toronto Tenure...

-Made major free agent blunders such as Hedo, Kapono, Fields
-Bad Trades such as O'Neal
-Bad Draft such as Bargnani

On the other hand, when he made bad moves he was fairly quick to trade to get out of them... Traded Hedo quickly... Traded O'Neal quickly... He recognizes his mistakes (except Bargnani... lil' too much of a lovefest there)

On the positive...

He drafted DeRozan, Valanciunas, and to a lesser degree Ross (Drummond still available)
He traded to get Lowry (lotto pick S.Adams) and A.Johnson (Delfino) were straight steals
Also was Masai's mentor, they really are somewhat one in the same... Masai is just less of a salesman, and a little less of a risk taker then what BC is...

BC has his faults and he definitely has some critics in Toronto. However, he is far superior then what you have had in Billy King... The one problem I see is Brooklyn's assets (No picks) don't align with BC's strengths (drafter)... That would be my concern

This is huge news coming from Carl.

I wonder if that means we already interviewed them or if we're just interested...

Please confirm!

As MDB pointed out, anything compared to King is a god send for us....

I know Thibs has pedigree, but I fear that he will bring the same attitude that Hollins has. He seems inflexible and doesn't seem to get along with anyone - be it management or players. My first choice would honestly be Calipari being President and Coach, with Colangelo being the GM. They work together, and Calipari provides the direction of the team. He relies on BC to get transactions and scouting done.

Thibs got it done.

Got it done in Boston, got it done with the Bulls...

throw in a disgruntled Noah in CHI who may or may not have a preference to play for coach thibs again....

Do it... RHJ would excel here, Young may follow up, TRob could get better....

Idk about Lopez... that's a big "?" to me....

Gar Forman and John Paxton are notorious for not getting along with coaches. We're not exactly sure at what level that whole feud with the FO in Chicago has to do with Thibs individually. The biggest issue with Thibs is his minute usage.

Something tells me Colangelo will really want to redeem himself and will do his absolute best to build a contender in Brooklyn.

Thibs = Rondo
Colangelo = DeRozan

Thibs was an assistant under Doc when Boston formed the big 3.

Colangelo drafted DeRozan.

Hollins is the guy who punches out at 4:55.

Thibs is the guy who sleeps in his office because he watched film to 3 in the morning.

Not sure what I think about Thibbedau, because he seems similar to what Hollins was supposed to be. The Colangelo rumors are also meh to me, but anyone could probably do better than King.

Yeah, being loyal to Toronto, not Colangelo lol. BC has been gone for years.

So...
Colangelo for GM
Calipari for Head coach and top executive job to help market team and assist GM
Thibodeau as assistant coach (top assistant to Cal)

?

Calipari is not coming here. Brett Yormark wants it but Prokhorov shot that down.
