Yeah, this would be a no-brainer. Haywood was an awesome interview when he was with the Wizards. Jamison...not so much.

Haywood never seemed shy about expressing his opinion. Didn't he exchange punches with both Kwame and Etan?

He talked about staying on someone (Randle or Russell's) left hand and something else positional that you seldom hear. But he mumbles and doesn't have the greatest diction and I expect him to be mediocre overall. It's a classicly silly hire, appealing to nostalgia when we'd be much better served with actual quality.

Speaking of which, there is some poetic irony in the fact that our own Brendan Haywood is fabulous on SiriusXM NBA radio. He's frank, honest, no-nonsense -- just what you'd expect. He's insightful, not sensational, and isn't trying to be a deejay or a star like Rick Fox. I'd love to have Haywood on Wizards broadcasts, but that makes too much sense for this organization. If you have the chance, check out BTH on SiriusXM.

And the chronic, organizational under-appreciation of Haywood continues even after his playing career is over...

He got into a physical fight with Etan, but just had a verbal thing with Kwame.

Haywood was one of the few players who took seriously the defensive tracking project I was doing. He was extremely helpful -- analytical without blaming teammates.

Met them both. AJ is nicer by leaps and bounds IMO.

Haywood is (potentially) a very good analyst.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

IIRC, one of Etan's dreadlocks got ripped off in that fight.
