Can his block tendencies be exploited?
It's far more than a question, it's a reality. Hassan constantly going for blocks more than often times leaves our defense exposed and any team with competent passers can take advantage of that. They'll just pass the ball after Whiteside goes soaring and it's going to result in a wide open jumper or a layup/dunk because Bosh or one of our Wings has to recover for Whiteside after he leaves position instead of just trying to alter the shot.
It's a big problem with his post defense too, instead of actually playing defense on his man he's just waiting for the shot attempt so he can try to block it instead of bodying up his matchup.
This allows his matchup to throw upa shot attempt of his choice and adjust to Whiteside's length. It's why you see players like Gortat, Vucevic, or even Robin Lopez or Cole Aldrich scoring on Hassan. Compare this to other defensive centers like Gobert or Marc Gasol, they're fighting for position, elbowing, trying to frustrate their matchup so it's harder for them to get a decent look.
