I know only have a 50% record when I go and see the Magic but I've never seen us lose in regulation time!

It's staggering how we rely on long 2s and don't create looks for our best three point shooters. We also have poor ball movement and our offence looks awful.

I love this trade. But ive thought about it a lot and.. not sure Sac would want to take on a package of players that dont really make them win now yet at the same time don't have star-caliber upside. I think our outgoing pieces (plus picks and maybe one more piece) work, but probably need to get a 3rd team involved.

You know, if you watch NBA games, then every single team in the entire NBA relies on long 2's. But, we do need to find ways to create looks for our best (3) point shooters. And, team needs to have better ball movement.

I think the youth and new system as being part of the problem. This will be corrected over time by playing with each other and learning the system over a period of a 1-3 years.

Hate to say it but It might be Victor just because of his value. Payton definitely doesn't get that trade done. Sac would fly to Orlando just to point and laugh at Hennigan's face.

I was watching a bit of that game and saw that play live and the commentary behind it was even more hilarious. Skiles may actually encourage him to take that shot when he's open which would piss me and I'm sure everyone here off. I brought his name up because I figured he would be more attainable (his defensive IQ and intangibles would help this team despite his ugly ass jumper) compared to Demarcus Cousins who would command a ton more assets from us.

I'm not disappointed in this team either, but its obvious that there is something missing. People want to talk about Vooch but none of our guys get to the FT line...NONE. Our leader in that category is Harris with 3... 3 effing FTA's per game.

In terms of Dipo, I know I see about 3 no calls a game easily, however he needs to drive right into the chest of defender the and sometimes he doesn't. I swear if you look back at Roses early years he did the EXACT same thing but eventually learned how to draw fouls.

The style of offense the Magic are playing (with bigs playing high post mostly) is being used primarily due to the backcourt's shooting issues. Thus its on the guards and wings to step up their free throw rate, since they're the ones who are given the lane (which is where most fouls are committed).

You hit the nail on the head. That is why we are making all of our bigs shooting 3's (Frye and Nicholson) or very long 2's (Vučević and Smith). What is frustrating is that it would probably be all good if only our guards can finish at the rim or draw fouls trying.

Oladipo looks a lot better past couple of games, at least at shooting. Driving and finishing by him and Payton sometimes is soft as WNBA.

Tried to look up some comparative centers to see if anyone had a lower free throw rate than Vucevic. Horford is the only close one.

Vuc's free throw rate is 9%. Horford's is 13%.

A similar player in Enes Kanter's is 38%. Even a no name scrub like Tyler Zeller has 36%.

It's not like Skiles is out there telling him to avoid contact, he needs to stop being soft and go up strong when he's not going jump shot crazy.
