Re: Vote Dre and RJ to the All-Star Game
I want Dre & RJ winning regular season games so if they both were to get snubbed that might help lol
But i can't see Dre not making it one way or another.

He's costing us losses.
I think you were accidentally accurate here. He IS costing us losses, which is precisely why he deserves to be an All-Star this year.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

he doesn't deserve anything. he can't even finish the games for an average team.

Re: Vote Dre and RJ to the All-Star Game
There are 2 front court players in the entire East more deserving than Dre. They are PG and LeBron, both going to start.
Dre is and will be an all star. His inability to finish games, as frustrating as it is, does not invalidate everything else he does for the rest of the game.

And if there is a third who is more deserving, its sure not Melo.
This is why fan voting sucks.

Re: Vote Dre and RJ to the All-Star Game
Makes no sense for the Center position to be out of the AllStar game. We got a young Center putting up 18 and 15 and we're going to have to watch Melo start at Center in the AllStar game lol.

I'd rather have Melo over PG.
PG's in his usual annual slump right now, shooting KCP levels of bad percentages across the board. Might even be worse.

He's shooting 38% from three and his true shooting percentage is a rock solid 55.7% to KCP's 51.9%.
Can't just look at the field goal percentage, its very insufficient.

His slumps have been going back past the few months, that's what I was pointing out. But you're right, his TS% is still solid so that makes him step out of the other players that slump around this time.
From a reddit thread:
For the month of December: 21.4-7.9-3.7 and 1.9 steals (3.9 turnovers) while shooting a horrible 37% from the field (36% from 3) Also, in the 7 games he's played so far in January, he's averaged 23-8-3 (2.6 steals but 4.1 turnovers) while shooting 40.2% from the field and 31.6% from 3.
Melo deserves it more than PG IMO, he's slowly making that Knicks team on the uptick along with Porzingis ever since last year's dumpster fire season.

Whether he's slumping or not he should get credit for his overall numbers for the year, shouldn't he?
HIs supporting cast hasn't been particularly impressive this year either.

That thread also pointed out he's always slumping right around this time since 2013. So, sure credit where credit is due, but a player that isn't reliable and has a noticeable drop off at this time of year isn't someone that I would consider so highly. Especially over someone who has transformed his game to suit his team like Melo has.

Keep voting everyone. Only one day left, but we can each get two more votes in.

I get what you're trying to say, but honestly how does any of that have to do with All Star voting. Despite his slump, and the recency of things, in the grand scheme of things he's more deserving than Melo.

With the way Melo's been playing lately, I think it honestly is a wash between them IMO.

New York will probably vote their guy in, but it's hardly a wash. It shouldn't be about how you've "been playing lately." Drummond performance so far for the year to date is much more deserving, not that it really matters in AS voting.
