Our top 3 guards Jordan Clarkson, Lou Williams and D'Angelo Russell are all shooting guards. Not a point guard in the bunch.

Man, the young guys cannot progress until we move Hibbert and Lou. Both great guys but they either eat up too many possessions or just not suited to how the younger guys want to play. Moving Hibbert out of the paint alone would improve Russell, Clarkson and Randle's efficiency. The man eats up so much space for what little he contributes and its not like Scott is running a great defense with him protecting the rim.

Lou is good for one thing, scoring when needed. You cannot expect to run an offense around him when all he looks for is a way to get to the line. Nice corner shooter when isolated but he shouldn't be playing 35 minutes a night on a well functioning team. We need changes and having finished more than half the season, we need them soon.

This. There's no reason Lou, a career 6th man, should be logging 35+ minutes a night. Some will say he's playing well but what does him getting his numbers accomplish?

In Lou's defense, he's being used as a disciplinary item. Apparently Russ had some work ethic and entitlement issues so they needed to bring him down to earth. From the recent articles Ive read he's seems to have corrected both issues. I think he will be back in the starting lineup soon.

My thing is the only guy saying those things about him was Eric Pincus.

If Russell goes back to te starting lineup it will likely be to replace Clarkson in it. So in the end we'll just have the same issue all over again with Lou. Again if we want to develop Russell we need to do everything possible to trade away Lou. His game and Russell's couldn't possibly mesh any less. It's no wonder that the raptors didn't miss a beat losing him and that both Kyle Lowry and DD are playing even better than last year.

True. But then when you start listening to Byron Scott and reading betweent he lines he was kinda saying the same thing without throwing Russ under the bus. Like when Russ had made the comment he's trying to gain the trust of his teammates and be a leader out there. They mentioned the quote to B.Scott and he said something like those things come with work ethic....also, that kobe got everyones respect as a young guy from work ethic. I cant remember the entire quote though. But a couple of months ago Byron was dropping little stuff like that all the time. Like when he said Russell needs to get a routine before games...fast forward to today, Russell now shows up 2/12 hrs early to games and goes over the same drills with one of the asst coaches. He's 19, its no big deal to me, he's learning how to be a pro.

I agree with you. But I hope you're wrong about Lou staying in the starting lineup.

I think this is what I was talking about:

"Just trying to be a young leader on this team," Russell told Time Warner Cable Sportsnet sideline reporter Mike Trudell after the Lakers victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. "We've got a lot of guys that lead by example, and don't really try to lead vocally, but if we lead by example, and we've got somebody that leads vocally, it just pans out good, we get a win."

Lakers head coach Byron Scott thinks Russell has the stuff to be a leader of a team one day.

"I think in order to be a leader you have to be able to lead by example, so in practice, in games, you have to be the hardest worker. That's why Kobe [Bryant] was such a great leader, and everybody leads differently," Scott told reporters. "Magic [Johnson] was an unbelievable leader. [Russell] has the personality to be a leader, but at 19 you really can't figure it out, it just has to kind of come natural. I think with him, his communication on the floor is natural, but the leadership part you've got to earn that from your teammates."
