Let's just keep Kieff. Hell, let's trade for Marcus back.

Who was it again that said you could make a point that Warren is already better than Wiggins? Lol.

Disclosure: I love Warren and wish he would play 30+ every night ;)

He doesn't play enough to make a statement like that. I think he can be. I hate Jeff.

In all seriousness, I would take Ish Smith over Knight.

Knight can score occasionally but he has no clue how to be a point guard.

I wonder if there are many examples of guys who were more of shoot first point guards ever evolving into great passers with court vision.

Though, I guess if Bledsoe were here, we really don't need him to be a pg, and he should play SG.

So then you get back to the point, that Booker deserves to be playing, so where does that leave Knight?

I guess ideally, without going down the road of "TRADE EVERYONE!" since we all like to do that on occasion, and some of us very often, going forward, once Bledsoe is healthy (hopefully), we start Bledsoe, Knight, Booker, future PF, Len. But then you basically play Warren a ton, and when Knight sits, Booker moves to 2...

You could move Knight to backup, which makes more sense in many respects, but if they can learn to play together and pass the rock ball...no one holds the ball for more than 3 seconds accept in certain situations, it could work.

Ideally I guess the more I think about it, if we HAVE to keep Knight, we play him at 6th man. I mean, he can be like that Manu or Harden type of player (not as good as those guys) but those guys were 6th men who were mostly just primary ball handlers who were more of scorers than passers.

So, as my thoughts keep evolving throughout this post, start Bledsoe/Booker/Warren/new PF (or if you have to, Tele or PJ if still here until we upgrade), and Len.

Knight, Bogdan, two rookies off bench, and Goodwin if he is still around and learns to pass or shoot. Then I guess Tyson if we still have him.

There's almost every example. Goran, Lowry, like every PG you look at increases assist % and decreases turnover % as they get older, and Knight's numbers follow that trend. The only exceptions are the truly elite passers out of the gate like Paul and Nash. And Knight is ahead of Goran as a passer at the same age, with lower turnover %'s compared to many others. But hey, that's just what the stats say. Imo, Knight is a 2 guard through and through, and to keep holding him to a PG standard is just ridiculous at this point. He's only playing the 1 for us due to a huge injury to our all star caliber PG.

I think someone said that, but I recently said that outside of Wiggins, I don't see anyone else taken at the top of that draft clearly looking better than Wiggins, so even if you have one of the worst records in the league, you still probably don't get Wiggins (particularly since Cleveland with the 10th worst record luckily won the lottery). I just don't think Parker, Embiid, Smart, Randle, Gordon, etc, look that they are clearly that much better.

Tyson Chandler's lob plays are the result of so many of our turnovers. Stop throwing them. He can't do it anymore.

If McD is dead set on keeping knight he needs to be the 6th man. He definitely isn't a starter and is almost to the T Jamal Crawford. Which as a 6th man scoring off the bench is great. But wow he is a terrible PG and atrocious defender.

Yes, there is NO reason not to play him as much as possible right now. The other guys are only on one year contracts anyway, so they might be gone. We need that trade value as high as possible.

Yeah, I agree. I wouldn't have minded him at SG if we didn't have Booker, but no point....play him at 6th man. He could thrive in that role.

On many good teams, the 6th man is their 3rd or 4th best overall player, but that role suits them best.

Thinking it is all Jeff's decision is shortsighted.

I agree. In the post I just posted I mentioned that I wouldn't mind him as the starting PG if we didn't have Booker. Plus, there is the problem that he thinks he's a pg and wants to do that, and might become disgruntled a bit to not have that authority, so let him play 6th man. He comes in whenver Bledsoe or Booker sit.

I'd actually sit him on a high note. It's every bit as likely that the reason he's playing so well today is because he's going up against Kevin Garnett's corpse and a bunch of rookies/youngsters.

This game pretty much proves it. We're the 3rd worst team in the NBA.

He wants to be a PG, but there are a lot of players in this league who don't get what they want. It's up to the leadership, particularly the coach, to get him to buy into his role on the team. We aren't the only team that runs into these problems. We just seem to be the only one that can't fix it and allows it to be handled in the media/publicly.

Man I am jealous of KAT or all teams with young superstar prospects in general. Don't get me wrong, happy with Booker & Warren but I would really love someone like Amare (ideally since homebred all the way), or Nash, etc to cheer for and get excited for again.

With a little luck we can hopefully catch the 2 seed. Brooklyn and LA are just really tough to beat. I watched Brooklyn yesterday...yikes.
