I thought that for a second, but I think he was doing it to make it seem like he was talking to the fans in every section. Could be way off, but that's what I thought

Yeah that's what I thought too, but it just seemed robotic/unnatural to me lol. But obviously not a big deal

Well for one he was probably nervous enough to piss his pants, hence the roboticness (I know, I made it up) of his movements. But I think the actual rotation itself was just to address all the fans.

VALIDATE THIS WIN. PLAY LIKE THIS EVERY GAME. differenc between playoff team and contender . consistency

Being an NBA season ticket holder for many years with lots of priviledged behind the scenes access + my best friend being a former ballboy/locker room assistant, I can tell you that the players do develop relationships with a lot of people in the arena that aren't actually involved with the team. Those people being security, ushers, maintenance, concessions, caterers, arena entertainment officials, etc.

It was common for players to remember me by name even when they only came to town once or twice a season, and I had zero affiliation with the team or arena. Only had small conversations with them before and after games.

Those background type people play a big role in the "human" element to NBA players. In some ways those background people are the players' co-workers.

Long story short, I'm saying that Ben was probably including a lot of these type of people into what he was saying. Many of whom are probably still at the Palace every night.
