I just think you cant teach KAT and KP the offensive skill set Okafor has, while Okafor can learn to be an above average to a good defender. Okafor has pretty good defensive potential with his length and mobility. The dude is 20, give him some time to become a good defender, can you imagine how good offensively he will be when hes 25

I just try to honestly project a players ceiling, and I see Jah as a Carmelo level scorer but an even bigger defensive liability because he plays center. At least you could put a shot blocking center behind Carmelo.

I feel like building around that type of player won't allow you to construct a team good enough defensively to win a championship. I hope he progresses defensively, but I am very pessimistic.

Sixers doesn't have the positive environment for Jah. I don't think both Hinkie and BB were praying they land a guy like Jah when they envision building this team.

Offensively, we are one of the top in pace. Our offense is built for perimeter scorers with basically taking a high volume of pps shots via 3s and drives from the perimeter. While Noel allows multiple defender to guard Jah or to make entry pass for him much harder. It was anti-jah offense. Pace and space was always been the theme. Long and athletic players. High rebs+stls+blks players. 3pt shooters and drives. Move the ball, shoot 3 with confidence.

Defensively, many were saying how Noel compliments Jah. But we have one of the worst perimeter defensive team in the league (3rd worst in defending 15+ feet and 3s) and we allow a high volume of drives into the paint. Our PGs are short, Nik do guard perimeter scorers and gets abused, JaKarr plays cute defense (allows defender to score 2% higher than their average)& RoCo's is an overrated perimeter defender (Allows opponent to score 13% higher than their average in shots inside 6 and 10 feet; allows defender to score 4% higher than their usual average). We allow the most ridiculous backdoor cuts. We make Jimmy Butler look like a superstar. We make Scola shoot like Dirk. We allow terrence ross to break out of his slump. Opponents PG do post up our guards. LBJ gets bored playing against us.

Simply said, this team is built to expose Jah's flaws. He'll look slow with our frantic pace, he'll always be compared to Noel on defense, the team will allow high volume of attempts for him to challenge, we will turn the ball over because we don't have a structure on offense while most of our perimeter players have average ball handling skills, our perimeter defense is so bad that it's between their higher than usual average in 3s versus the nature of low pps attempt of Jah at the post or ISO. But despite all that, I think he's doing fine individually as a rookie. And what's impressive IMO is the rate of improvement he shows as the season progresses.

Just imagine how much better he'll be after an offseason of improvement and when the team adjust around him (they are slowly adjusting with Ish)&with a much better talent next year.

Hinkie did not come here to build a fake GSW fools, real championship ball is build from the inside out, get it through your skulls. Embiid and Jahlil are our building blocks (bc they have superstar/all star potential). We coulda built a weak run n gun team years ago, its a joke and does not work. Idk if any of you guys actually hoop but anyone with common sense knows these "trends" happening are not going to be long term, its always about building from the frontcourt then out. Go be a phoenix fan or something, philly is getting back to old school inside out ball with 3 shooters to surround our frontcourt. That run n gun talk is a fantasy, if you wanna live it out go be a GSW fan for the time being

Well I take back what i said, I might have to take that advice to myself, it's obvious we don't want to play inside out. Small balls here to stay in philly

Dude went from laughing it up and cheering on the team hard from the bench to looking like he wanted to kill someone as soon as the first OT ended.

I think he's pissed.

Haha ya. During that 4th quarter run you can see him and the bench all stoked and into the game. That was all gone by OT. I can't blame him at all for being pissed. He got bench while he was having one of his best overall games

Yep, terrible coaching on Browns part today. The Okafor haters get their wish though. "See, he's a liability man, thats why Brett didn't play him". What more does he have to do? He's been sizzling offensively this month, his defense was great today, his rebounding is getting better...I don't know. Might want to re-think this whole process thing.

Brett's beefin' with Daddy OK4...
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

They will end up trading Noel or Okafor by the trade deadline next year if Embiid is healthy.

It's funny I was at the game. And in OT a couple of the knicks fans turned to me and asked me why is Okafor not playing, he was on fire!

Everyone Knicks and 76ers were wondering the same thing where is Jah !!

Also when Jah was in, the knick fans around me were very impressed with offensive game.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way. (Marlo)

Watching Porz, you kinda understand how the bigs should play. Where you shouldn't work for your points and funnel that energy on defense and rebounding.

^To me Porzingis is about as much of a center as Dirk Nowitzki is...I know he's a better defensive player, but I just see him as a power forward. He reminds me of a taller Garnett with expanded range...That's scary.

Really surprised with the ease that Okafor has acquired the pick n pop to his repertoire. Maybe Pringles has really helped in this regard or maybe another Ish effect. Needless to say hours upon hours from Jah. Next step, pick n roll.
