Yup, should be good.

I'm just glad they are focusing on the defense, if we can shore up our biggest weakness we should be in for an even better season next year.

It's a good move and he'll fit well, but all I'm concerned about is the back line.

Though he'll help is that department too but shoring up the midfield.

Another good signing and hopefully him sitting in front of the back 4 will allow Bradley to spend more time on offence. I felt last year Bradley was spending too much time helping out on defense beacause they sucked so badly.

It's all about improving the defense this off season, if we had allowed 15 less goals last year we would of won the East

Well said on Bradley.

He's much more useful when focusing on the offense.

Glad we dumped Kantari. Defender who couldn't defend.

I don't know if he's the answer, but it's nice to finally have a goal keeper.

Welcome Clint!
Not a massive amount of experience and I was expecting a more experienced goalkeeper from Europe tbh, however, I like this signing, all-star roster last year and previously played with Drew Moore so already comfortable with each other

I wouldn't mind if Konopka returned as his back up

Moore's future with Toronto FC uncertain

Of the 37 men on TFC’s pre-season roster, all returned to Toronto on Monday following an extended training camp in southern California.

Aside from Luke Moore, that is. Moore’s MLS future is very much up in the air four weeks before TFC’s season-opener.

Toronto’s top brass remained steadfast late last month that Moore — seven goals and seven assists in 42 appearances for TFC — could eventually find his way back to Toronto at some point, fresh off a training stint, ready to roll.

Or, ready to sit on the bench, one would assume.

The only newsworthy aspect of TFC’s drama-free offseason is if and when Moore will leave. And with young attackers showing well during Toronto’s 12-day stay in L.A. they likely don’t need him.

Toronto FC II adds Pozniak as assistant coach

Toronto FC II has added former Canadian international Chris Pozniak as an assistant coach.

The 35-year-old will work with head coach Jason Bent on the USL team. Stuart Neely remains head coach of the Toronto FC academy team.

"Bringing back a former player and Canadian international with Chris' experience will help our academy and drafted college players transition up to the first team, which is one of our primary objectives of TFC II," Toronto FC GM Tim Bezbatchenko said in a statement.

Toronto FC given 16/1 odds to win MLS Cup in '16

Odds-makers have spoken.

The New York Red Bulls are most likely to win MLS Cup this December, according to online sports gambling website Bodog.

A list of odds released to the Toronto Sun this week have the Red Bulls listed at 4/1 to win their first Philip F. Anschutz Trophy.

The L.A. Galaxy and the defending MLS Cup champion Portland Timbers are lurking close behind at 5/1, followed by last season's MLS Cup finalist, Columbus Crew (7/1).

Of the top-10 teams most likely to win MLS Cup, according to Bodog, six – the Galaxy, Timbers, FC Dallas, Whitecaps, Sounders and Sporting KC – play in the league's Western Conference.

The four clubs currently sitting at 50/1 – the worst odds – include Chicago, Colorado, Houston and Philadelphia.

Current odds to win MLS Cup. Toronto FC at 16/1.

BMO Field renovations nearing completion in Toronto

The original BMO Field — once considered a model fan experience in Major League Soccer — was the butt end of jokes Wednesday afternoon.

Phrases like “Erector Set” and “Ikea Stadium” were used to describe what this place looked like back in 2007.

Back then, BMO Field was a soccer-only venue built to house an MLS team worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $10 million, an MLSE project, one might say. It was a venue fit for an American high school football team.

Ten years later, Forbes estimates Toronto FC to be worth roughly $175 million — with plenty of room for growth.

Nothing signifies that growth more than Phase 2 of the BMO Field renovations.

Roughly three months from completion, BMO Field is beginning to look like a venue built for a major league team, a stadium worthy of the likes of MLS MVP Sebastian Giovinco.

Quite simply, it’s a venue Toronto FC fans can be proud of.

The makeover was remarkable to see during an exclusive tour the Toronto Sun received.

As we inch closer towards Toronto FC’s home opener — May 7 against FC Dallas — the final plans and pieces are in place.

The Sun spoke with Bob Hunter, MLSE’s Chief Project Development Officer, and Neil Barrows, PCL Construction’s senior project manager, this week to get the final skinny on the new, new BMO Field…

When the north stand at BMO Field was removed late last year to accommodate a CFL end zone, there was speculation capacity for Major League Soccer games would sharply decrease. Not so, confirmed MLSE’s Chief Project Development Officer Bob Hunter, capacity for Toronto FC games will remain at 30,000 while Argos games will seat 27,000, up a bit from the originally estimated 25,000.

Toronto FC, BMO extend stadium rights partnership 10 years, kit deal through 2016

Just one day after raising the roof over BMO Field’s south end, MLSE and Toronto FC announced on Monday that BMO has agreed to a 10-year renewal of their naming rights sponsorship of the stadium.

As part of the stadium naming rights renewal, BMO will also extend its deal as TFC's jersey sponsor for the 2016 season.

Construction is currently underway on Phase II of the BMO Field renovation project, with crews raising the covered south end canopy into place on Sunday morning. The two-year renovation project, scheduled to be completed in May, will see canopies added to the east, west and south stands at BMO Field.

BMO Field is here to stay, but we may have a new kit sponsor come 2017.

Toronto FC announced Tuesday the full 2016 television broadcast schedule for all 34 regular season matches, along with the kick-off times for all home matches this season.

TSN enters its sixth season as the official broadcaster of Major League Soccer (MLS) in Canada. TSN will be home to 23 Toronto FC matches this season. Luke Wileman returns with the play-by-play call along with former Canadian national team member, Jason deVos and Kristian Jack as match analysts. TSN commentators Vic Rauter, Nigel Reed, Greg Sutton, Peter Schaad and Nick Dasovic will also handle MLS on TSN broadcasting duties this season. Sportsnet will carry 11 matches this season.

Love that most games will be available on TSN, the ones that are not will be on Sportsnet 360. Just one game on Sportsnet 1.

All of the home games are scheduled to start at 7.30pm on Saturday evening with one exception being a 5pm start. This sucks, not only did afternoon starts suit me much better(and I'm sure a whole bunch of others too) but I'll miss the afternoon games sitting in sun with beer in hand :D

Anyone know when single game tickets go on sale?

New TFC kit to be used in a few home & away games. Great way to honour the cities soccer past.

I'm just happy the blue is very subtle.

Wow, suddenly we look really thin up top. Herculez Gomez is on his way out so TFC can fit within the roster rules of MLS.

Gomez is no great loss and neither was Luke Moore but who do we play on Sunday then? Is Gio going to play up front on his own? Or do we see Endoh or Jordan Hamilton? I can't think of any other forwards on the roster right now?
