Is Henny's Seat Getting Warm?

Post#1 » by Destin » Tue Jan 19, 2016 4:50 pm

This team that he has put together is garbage. I was so optimistic about this season. I was still optimistic even when we lost those close games. We are digressing badly and it looks like the placers couldn't careless about playing for this team. This is all on him in my opinion.

At what point do we stand up as a fan base and say enough is enough?

I do not think the sky is falling just yet, but i feel like it is going to spiral out of control sooner than later

He picked best available in the draft's to his knowledge...it's not all about drafting for 'need' of a position, it's standard practice for GM's. Also, second youngest team in NBA.

Wait until around all-star break, we might make some moves then. We really just need to find a way to get a superstar here without completely gutting the roster...

WUT? This dude has done almost the best job possible. He completely rebuilt this team and has it heading in the right direction. Like the above user said, we are the 2nd youngest team in the NBA. We are still in the playoff picture.

That itself is a success. We are in a very tough part of our schedule, all is not lost.

I firmly believe we are 1 or 2 pieces away from being a top 3 seed in the East.

So far, his trajectory is working. Build organically and build a young team that can play together.

We have a couple of spots that need to be addressed (Back-up PG, Starting PF, who starts at SG?), and then I think we will be a lot of fun.

Hahaha. Henny probably getting a raise. Team is a .500 ball club after spending the last (3) seasons as one of the worst teams in the league. They made marked improvement and Henny is probably getting patted on the back right now.

I wonder if AG and Mario start getting more playing time if that is because Henny is putting the pressure on Skiles or if Skiles is doing it on his own. If it's the former, then it might be a sign that Henny is feeling his seat getting warm.

The list of good things Henny has done far exceeds the bad thing(s) he's done, IMO.

I love Destin rants. All the stupid **** that gets posted on this forum is the primary reason why i still go on here, very entertaining.

Very little quality discussion anymore and what is quality is torn apart by the dumber users.

He's done a great job with what he's actually had available too him. Luck plays a big part of this and unfortunately we haven't had the best of it. You have to believe we are due something but we can't make rash decisions that can hurt us for the long run. Hopefully the right situation will come up creating an opportunity or the ping pong ball will bounce our way.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if Destin ran the Magic, instead of Hennigan.

What would our post-Dwight roster look like? How many head coaches would he have gone through? Would he have masterminded a turnaround of historic proportions that sent the Magic back to the top of the league in such a short time frame?

Or would we as a fan base stand up and say enough is enough?

Do you mean you are getting tired of Vuc launching long shots, waddling down the court, Nicholson's size 22 shoes flopping
down the court, Dipo throwing up clank shots and destroyed going to the basket, Elf's miserable outside shot, worthless Frye
catapault-launching 3's and standing around the 3-pt. line, Gordon buried on the bench, Forunier who knows no defense, Harris regressing from last year, "who is Super Mario?", Skiles persistant pissed-off mood, and Hennigan's multimillion dollar salary
whose paid to grow our team organically? :banghead:

Lol he hasnt made any mistakes so far. Henny has been awesome. I dont care that some people on some forum disagree. Warriors fans boo'd their owner just a couple of years before they built a powerhouse. Actually powerhouse doesnt do them justice, they're a dynasty innthe making.

Enough is enough Henny! You were brought into a bad situation, made the best of it, and have brought us back to being a relevant team with a bright future. WHY HAVE WE NOT WON MULTIPLE CHAMPIONSHIPS YET??? The sky is definitely falling in Destin's world.

were they the best picks?

Would you take Dipo over:

Giannis
CJ McCollum
Gobert

or any combination of those, since we could have traded back

Hind sight is 20/20 my friend. Dipo is one of the best defending guards in the league. He was a good pick. Sure some of those players are playing well right now but there are a **** ton of players who have failed.

Dipo has not failed and he is still young and still continues to progress.

Henny has laced us with great flexibility in the cap, bevy of assets to use for trades and has a very impressionable albeit flawed young roster that can work if lineups were used properly. He's a bit of a hit or miss on getting good FAs but he can be judged on that as we push forward towards being a contender.

I really hope that we do not panic and blow our load on a player that never leads us anywhere. We need to exhaust all options anyways before even venturing towards that route.
