Definitely agree about Knight. Maybe a new coach would help him?

I don't think he responds to anyone, thus being traded two times before hitting second contract. I know you are super high on having Brandon Knight, but not a good trade imo.
I'm not super high on having him. I think Knight could be good with discipline
My bad, I thought you had said before he was a good guy to have and didn't think the trade was all that bad. He has a leading high minutes because we don't have another pg other than scrap guys. I thought you wanted to play young guys anyway and considered him young and let them work through mistakes? Who would you bench him for?
This Knight ordeal and Markieff ordeal falls on McD. Hornacek hasn't coached well and he knows he is done and being a lame duck in the first place didn't help, but being given this crap fest of players probably makes him want to be let go.

Yeah, I just told Coro in a tweet I was going to congratulate him on a triple double but instead will congratulate him on his impressive 1 to 2 assist to turnover ratio.

Now , I understand Hornacek.....
Amazing performance by Booker, so pure and crafty, I love his all around game but his shooting stroke is outstanding.
McDonough is really good in the draft...we just need a good coach to use our youngsters better.
hahahahha
this is amazing.
oh my god
It's just disgusting the extent to which he plays favorites. I have no problem with Jeff doing this if he does it with everyone. When you selectively enforce rules, you incubate resentment, not discipline.

ESPN's twitter feed has the clip of Markieff failing to dunk the ball and audio of the Pacers announcers laughing at him and making fun of him for it. Oh yeah, playing Markieff is definitely improving his trade value. How sad this Markieff situation has become.

Well at least three have tried. Hopefully maturity since we have him for 4 1/2 more years. That trade, if he doesn't somehow significantly improve within the next year or so, will go down as one of the worst ever Suns trade. The worst Suns trade back in the day was probably Dennis Johnson for Rick Robey. Some may say Thunder Dan for Hot Rod...that was bad, but understandable at the time.
This one, while rebuilding, could end up awful, especially if the Lakers drop to the 4th pick and end up with a stud.

I think not having another PG is the point though. Sit him for the lowly Lorenzo Brown. That's the type of shame and embarrassment he needs imo. And if Lorenzo/the team plays better, it shows him he's not above the team. Because whatever Jeff is trying to do behind the scenes isn't working. There's still the one HUGE carrot out there which is Knight's PT, and he's rewarding him more than hurting him. Even back when Bledsoe was healthy and we had Booker backing up the 2, Knight played huge minutes. And back then, we could've easily played Booker. I know he's young, but he had a great game right out of the gates, and I have no doubt he would've continued to at least shoot well given how he has followed that up this year.
It really pisses me off that he seems to only use the PT carrot with Booker and Warren and Len and Archie, and not the rest of the team. Because the rest of the team is SO much more shameful right now than any of those guys imo (Mirza excepted).

Also, what little I saw looked like he was running the point, while Knight was playing off the ball. The future of this team runs squarely through Boooker.
Give him a break. He is a 19 year old rookie. He just scored the most points by a Suns rookie since Amare was a rookie. He also just set the Suns rookie record for most threes in a game with 6. What more do you want from him right now? He was amazing tonight.
I didn't say he wasn't amazing. He had an obvious great scoring game. I just asked about rebounds and assists.

Horny should be immediately axed and Bjorkgren should be promoted to interim coach He has a developmental track record with our youngins in Bakersfield Jam and would give them more leeway. Its not like he will undermine the tank job, even Carlisle or Pop wouldn't be able to do anything with this squad

I think the carrot can be useful for young players, and I also think Leuer has played well...he is second on RPM on the team. I agree that I would sit Knight because as I have stated I don't like his play. I don't know if he has the skill set to be a great passer though.

The other 3 coaches didn't let his play result in the type of absolute team meltdown we've seen here. This is the worst team Knight has played on despite being on some other teams without more talent (or less developed talent, like MIL). He's been bad, and he's clearly not a PG going forward. I still do think he can be a good 2 guard for us with the right coach. But our problems very clearly go beyond him. That's the more concerning part to me.
I want the vets gone and Hornacek gone in large part because I trust the youngsters to be better professionals and leaders at this point. I honestly feel like Len, Booker, and Warren have shown more maturity on the court than our vets and coach.

Supposedly it was because he got beat out for a lose ball by Paul George. Paul George does that to a lot of guys though, and half our team makes those kinds of mistakes all game long.

Brandon Knight in a nutshell: at the 3:00 mark in the 4th qt, Knight bricks wide open three that is tipped back to a wide open Booker, Knight immediately raises his hands for the ball, as Booker shoots, Knight throws hands down in frustration......Booker drains three and Knight reluctantly raises one finger.................What an selfish ass. Get rid of him NOW.

Anyone track how many long two's Knight attempted tonight? I've noticed at least 3 but could be much higher number.

I get the feeling that Brandon Knight will hold back Devin Booker the same way that Derrick Rose holds back Jimmy Butler.

Brandon Knight gave them the ball half the time had it and he did whatever he wanted. If thats true Hornacek should be fired on the spot

Completely agree. I actually think this team would benefit a ton from an overzelaous disciplinarian who pulls people for mistakes, but not like this. If anything, the vets should have the shorter leash because they should know better.
