It is Kyler, so I do not believe it.

Channing **** Frye? Can this team get any worse? :noway:

The package should be

Knight, Morris, Tucker

then

a separate package of

Chandler and Cavs pick

Yes, of course someone does. Because I (or other mods) decide when it is stickied. Figured you would know that. If you have trouble finding it, it will usually be fairly close to the top of the other threads....and if it falls to far, it will be stickied again. Let me know if you have trouble finding it and I will PM a link to the thread.

Yes. I do know that mods determine what topics get sticked. I should have phrased my question more clearly. Why do you keep changing it? I usually access the site from Tapatalk which lists stickies in a separate area. Is it too much to ask to just leave it sticked? What purpose does it serve to change it back and forth?

Knight/Chandler/Tucker
for
Rose/Noah/Portis

Morris
for
Mozgov

Then:

Tele/Mozgov
for
Patterson/Biyombo/First

Len/Biyombo
Portis/Patterson/Leuer
Warren/Weems
Booker/Goodwin
Rose/Price

2016 Draft:
Suns top5
Cavs top25
Raps top20

Suns clear a ton a cap space. They go into the 2016 season with almost $33mil in space with:

Len/Biyombo
Portis/Patterson
Warren/Weems
Booker/Goodwin
Bledsoe/Rose

Lets say the suns stay under the threshold. Each of these players gets a fat bonus (as whatever money the team stays under the threshold get dispersed, each player gets a fat bonus.) Who wouldnt want to play for that?

....and if they hold onto what they have, they go into the 2017 season with only $31mil in committed salary.

Len
Portis
Warren
Booker
Bledsoe

with whatever their 2016/17 picks end up being is a nice core to build with via FA.

I would only be packaging for young players with All-Star potential or top 10 picks.

We have enough of everything else.

Yeah. That's just not believable in the slightest. Why would we need Channing? We have 2 PF's aside from Markieff who are already better than him and younger, with both having the same stretch 4 ability. It would be nonsense.

If Magic are willing to put out Aaron Gordon, it's not bad to embrace Channing.

Gordon's offensive numbers have come along well.

I think every championship team needs a elite lengthy defender.

I'm not sure they would take conbuilding or scrap players for him though.

I can agree with this. Trade threads are generally most active and it's best to keep them highly visible. Especially for casual people who browse the site. Those are the threads that seem to pull in new subscribers just because it's always exciting to talk about 'what if's'.
You don't want the board overwhelmed with stuck threads (ie: 3 or 4 fantasy threads before the season) but I'd agree the trade board (and in the offseason, the draft / free agent board) should be off limits

I would LOVE to ship out whatever we can this year and have:

Bobby Portis
Aaron Gordon
Devin Booker

As our young base, along with Warren and Len AND our picks...I'd include the CLE pick if need be and would be happy with Mirotic if they don't (I assume they wouldn't) want to move Portis so soon.

Myles Turner is another guy I'd be after too.

I'd rather trade him, because I simply don't like him much as a player. I imagine he will be around for awhile, but even if Bledsoe's career is shortened, Knight is not a PG, and even though he is a decent SG, he isn't better than Booker.

The problem is, I can't see him having that much value. I'd probably wait until contracts are handed out this summer and when teams vastly overpaid people, perhaps's Knight's contract looks like a value, and if a team needs a guard like him (though I think few do, and some that provide similar things are much cheaper, like Lou Williams), but his value should only go up as the cap rises. To raise his value, I would move him to 6th man next season and let him do well against second units.....maybe make people think he can be a poor man's Harden/Ginobili type of player off the bench and a team might want him as a starter.

Part of the reason he is getting SO many minutes and not benched is possibly to inflate stats for trade value because they have realized this.

I think he still has good value right now to the right team. Im not sure where I saw this, but something like Gordon, Pels 1st for Knight sounds really good for us. Now I dont know if the Pelicans are still interested in making a run for the playoffs so I dont know if they would be interested in this deal at all.

I agree on the inflated stats part tho. We seem to be seeing the same BK that put up stats in Mil, the same BK that their fans complain about even today. And Mil got us to bite so maybe we can get someone else to do too? :D

Yeah, I would trade Knight if at all possible. I think McD could sell a team on why his efficiency has gone down this season, with Bledsoe out and an 18 YO Rookie as the best player we have, for Knight to play next to. Whether someone buys it or not, I don't know, but I think it's probably his best chance to unload Knight. It can be explained away to some degree, and I believe there is likely some truth to it as well. Additionally, GMs will surely see we are not making a run this season, so why keep players on those types of salaries, that can be helpful to playoff teams.

But to pay upwards of $28M for two Guards, and neither of which is even a 3rd String All-NBA or All-Star, well, that's a poor investment, IMO. Knight's not even as good as an 18 YO rookie, and maybe marginally better than a 20 YO Goodwin who costs, what, at least $10M less?

Put Goodwin and Booker as our starting backfield; we likely won't be any worse off with that combo, then Price, when healthy, can spell one and Weems can spell the other. And if we can get a back-up PG at half the cost, in the trade, all the better.

Any word if Orlando is willing to move Gordon or any of their youngsters?

I'd be up for a Morris for Frye/Gordon trade (as I think was talked above above).

How would a trade like this make Philly 5 wins worse? Is McConnell good?
Anyway, I'd like to get out of the Knight contract.
Have Philly throw in a protected first and I'd do this.

The purpose is to highlight different threads people see at the top. I didn't realize that tapatalk did that. I don't use tapatalk often, so I'll have to take a look. It will probably be stickied for most of the rest of the time to the trade deadline.

OK, I don't like TOO MANY stickied ones either at the same time but it's also not a problem for me to find one in the top 5-10 threads anyway on a PC, but if it is a problem for multiple people, I can re-sticky. Always open to suggestions.

When people post Brandon Knight trades, could you please explain WHY anyone would commit 56 million bucks to this guy based upon what they have seen this yr ? And please, don't defend this signing by stating how his deal will look like a bargain next yr. Over paying is still over paying.

We got him folks... get used to it.

I think a team like the Nets would be open to trade for him if the price is low.

I have said a few times that Knight and Markieff for Joe Johnson and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson makes sense for both sides.

They get an starting perimeter player, young enough to be part of their core and a sixth man interior player on a good contract who can give rest to Lopez and Thad.

We get rid of Markieff/Knight and we add a great prospect on a rookie contract.
