Talent has nothing to do with it. They are a team with stars at the guards and shoot ALOT of threes at a pretty good clip that will keep them in games when they are on and get them blown out when they are off.
Our starting line up is much better than theirs, but can you honestly say that our bench is massively better than Davis, Crabbe, Henderson, and those 5 minutes a game Myers Leonard is not being dumb.
I'm just saying, its a little harsh to go all "ugh, we are so mediocre" because we didn't blow out a decent team on the road, man. Especially on a night that Teague was only good half a game and Schroder, not so much. That's just a good win.
But as an aside...seriously...when is the last time Milsap had a game where you said "man, he stunk tonight"?

Re: 1/20 Hawks at Blazers
Portland plays 7 lotto picks in their rotation, 9 first rounders total plus Crabbe the 31st pick and have the 8th best offense in the league. The Hawks may sport the better team but talent wise? Given that a 2nd rounder and undrafted player are in the starting lineup alone for the Hawks, I'd say the edge goes to Portland in that department.

I suppose. I'm mainly seeing us struggle to beat POR, seeing us struggle to beat MIL, remembering getting blasted against CHA and seeing a trend of us no longer dominating the teams we're supposed to.

It's been a while. He's been great this whole season. Probably the Eastern Conference Finals.

Re: 1/20 Hawks at Blazers
I get that but honestly its still the point guard position. When they both play well on the same night, we are slaughtering teams. When one takes a night off (which basically always happens) we are not as dominant. Last year it was Teague killing you then Schroder destroying your backup.
This year Teague might hurt you, then Schroder comes and screws it up or Teague does absolutely nothing, but Schroder comes in and kills your backup.
I hate that our season rides on the two most inconsistent players on the roster this year.

All of the above is true and accurate.
ESPN had a graphic last night comparing our production/efficiency through a similar point last season.
The two biggest variations were 3-pt% and Points Allowed.
I agree Teague and DS have been inconsistent. But Kyle and the overall defense have not been consistent either.
