I'm sincerely surprised that Gallinari didn't make the Top15 votes.

He has had good support from celebrities (singers, soccer players etc) in Italy and lot of social networks buzz (Danilo Gallinari #NBAVote) ... I'm a little puzzled and disappointed, he deserved at least the bench :banghead:

There's a poll right now... The answer is yes, mostly.

I think they should go with 1 of 2 senarios:

I think they should do 2 Front Court, 2 Back Court, and the highest total.

This way you can vote for 3 guards (Wade, Lowry, and Butler) and still have all of them start.

OR

something different, but closer to traditional.

2 Bigs, 2 Wings, 1 Guard

I see:

2 Guards
2 Wings
1 Big

This way, you don't leave anybody out (there are much more elite guards than bigs in the NBA right now)

But the real question is how do you manage to avoid something like Pachulia over AD / Griffin / Cousins ? It would hurt the squad, somebody would be snubbed.

Yeah but you just got too many non basketball fans and everything voting. I don't really care all that much as I'm sure he will get the coaches vote. They should at least bring back the center position though. The position is good enough now that I don't think we need Melo starting there

Kobe jacked Green's spot. Another reason to hate the Lakers.

Well Drummond wouldn't start if that were the case of most deserving, Millsap would.

And Drummond gets in too..which is still shocking that he didn't.

This year is the perfect reason why we need an actual ballot and requirements so people can't just vote in their favourite washed up/injured player (Rose, Irving, Bryant, Wade, etc.) or their favourite countryman (Zaza, Kanter).

Just put out a damn ballot with like 10 players for each side, there really isn't much debate after the first 2 or 3 anyways

Absolutely - maybe teams should internally vote who their candidates are - no more than 5 per team. One for each position.

There is no reason I should be able to vote for Quincy Pondexter, Duje Dukan, or Chris McCullough who haven't played a game this year.

I have no problem with the set up of fan voting and all, but dammit don't call it the "all star" game. Rename it...Fans Game or something along that line.

Millsap and Butler would be the only deserving ones to have missed out on a starting spot but they're both locks as reserves so meh.

Not gonna lie...I voted Zaza a few times...for the lols. I figured if old-ass broken down Wade was going to get voted in...it would have been fun to see Zaza in as well.

Way better is a stretch no? I mean Drummond is so bad at times he must be benched.

Drummond- 17.6 ppg, 15.4rpg, 1.7stls, 1.5blks, 52fg%, (5x) 20pt 20reb games, (8x 20+ reb games), leads the league in rebounds and double-doubles, his team is 5th in a competitive eastern conference.

Someone explain to me the case for Milsap over Drummond right now

If we looked at RPG and BPG, but then if we looked at best player on the better team, with the player who is probably the most underrated player in the league and truly affects winning, then no, it would be Millsap, and it's not even close.

Popularity wise would support Drummond, which is the funny part of your post, but better player is Millsap, easily.

NBA can't have Zaza in the game. In reality he probably beat even Kobe in votes
