Fournier is a limp-dicked festering maggot. I'm looking forward to Whiteside reencountering him.
Respect to Vucevic, though. Gobert wants to talk ****, but needs to man up. What an ass wipe.
Also, note that Oladipo's value is depressed. We should target him too (somehow). Great kid!

Re: Hassan Whiteside: Road To The Max
I think it was a joke because Vucevic puts up eyepopping numbers at times too and big men know how hard it is at times to get stats. Gobert probablly was referring to Vucevic and Whiteside. Funny think Vucevic always used to ahve video game type numbers against us until Blockside joined us and put an end to that.

Doesn't seem like a joke. Seems like a bunch of guys checking out Whiteside's box score in a loss and calling him out but then they realized that they aren't famous and no one cares.
If Whiteside had done the same thing in reverse it'd end up on ESPN. They're "beef" didn't even get big enough to make it to the realgm general board. lol

Those 3 need so STFU, but the general points stays looming - The correlation between Whiteside stats and winning ball games isn't super strong and that should make one pause. It's not all on him, but if the coach can't translate a dominant Center to wins that still a problem for us.

Can not believe the opinion of not paying Hassan his market value is even being discussed.
Can't wait for Hassan to get that big guaranteed money. That way he'll stop holding back and be free to yell "throw me the damn ball" without facing repercussions for not being ok with being blackballed on offense. Heck, even perhaps he'll finally get a play or two called for him. Having serious doubts about a Bosh led team making it out of the first round. Hassan still has that fire and ambition that you need from your alpha to go deep. Not saying Bosh and Wade don't care at all anymore, but they look as if they're going to the buffet with a full stomach at this point.
So.....Once he's paid it's justifiable to act even more entitled?
Money shouldn't change anything. And it most def should not alter ones attitude, especially a player whom we are trying to tame in regards to ego and mental approach to the game. This would be a total disaster.
I do agree your remarks about Bosh & Wade but Whiteside seems to be focused on proving things about himself to the world rather than prioritizing the team and acting w/ the team in mind. This is what made players such as Wade great because he was always team first, had no ego and didn't act entitled. It is why Wade has been so successful here in Miami.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

If that's true and the Heat thinks they cannot make a deal for him this off-season, should the Heat trade him before the deadline or hold on to him so he can help us in the post season and let him walk in the summer for the Lakers as you see???
To stop it the Heat need to offer him the Max. simple.
with the Heat current situation, here's our remaining players for next year with Whiteside getting $20.9m.Slot Machine wrote:So then you wouldn't try to re-sign him. He will not be getting anything less than the max.
1. Bosh = 23.74m
2. Winslow = 2.59m
3. Dragic = 15.89m
4. McRoberts = 5.78m
5. Stokes = 980k
6. Richardson = 874k
7. TJ = 1.18m
8. Whiteside = 20.9m
9. 543k cap hold for the 9th player
Thats $71.9m total salaries committed for 9 players. Then Heat has only $17m left of cap space. Assuming Riley was able to convince Wade to take a pay cut of $10m, thats 50% discount. Assuming the cap goes to $88.9m, then Miami is left with $7m to sign another free agent and the rest will be with the minimum and MLE. You guys are insisting that since the cap goes up, then the market value of players goes up, then the MLE is a cheap contract, then what kind of a player Miami gets with that?
Are you all saying Heat should max Whiteside and then Heat stays with the same team? Are you convince with our current roster? Check out where our team is heading. You guys know that Miami is lucky this season that Wade didn't missed a lot of games. I doubt of the same results next season. This current roster will not get you by Cleveland nor even the Raptors.
Not saying here that Heat should dumped Whiteside but its not worth giving him the max, Aside that he's over paid then, the Heat stay the same roster looking up Cavs, RAptors and the Bulls. Most fans here knows that the Heat's draft picks are already mortgage. Riley is rebuilding teams thru trades and free agency. Picks are important in trades. That's why Heat's caps space is so important and should be use properly for the right player/s.
Some posters are narrow minded when I'm saying something they dont like about Hassan, they think its a hate on Hassan. They dont see the effect of giving him max money.
I love Whiteside to stay with Miami but not for the fat contract that will hinder the Heat chance to re-tool its roster to improve.
As I said in my other post, of course if you get a bigger contract offer and especially you're coming from a minimum salary, you take the big money. I'm not pointing out the situation of Whiteside but the Heat. This is not about Whiteside situation but the Heat. My concern is more with the Heat than Whiteside. I will be more happy to see the Heat happy and winning than Whiteside getting the max.Flash4thewin wrote:I love Pat but i know he makes mistakes and is not perfect.
Ask yourself that same question, why would you take less when another company offer more?
Ask yourself why take a back seat when another company wants you to be a star?
Ask yourself why you would even give your employer the time of day if he does not want to give you market value while other companies are dying to hire you?
Heat should not over pay for Whiteside and use the cap space to more deserving players worth their contract. You're going to max a player who is limited offensively!
I agree Pat Riley make mistakes and is not perfect. And dont want to see Riles make mistake coz it affects the Heat.
I been with the Heat since Riley came and seen players come and go but my only common denominator is I'm a Heat fan

LOL @ a no ego Wade. Easy to preach team when you're always the 1st or 2nd option. The second Wade and Bosh don't get their proper touches they cry to the media about "hero ball" "being froze out of the offense because of bad ball movement" "needing the ball in their proper spots"
The let's "tame em" "ego patrol" did wonders for Dorrell,Beasley, and Shabazz. I wonder if Hassan will be worth half his future contract when we finally manage to snip his balls off too. I get it we love and want our young guys to be the head down, humble introvert type. You're not gonna teach a grown man to have the personality of young Wade,Winslow, and Udonis. And even if you could it would be a page out of the how to develop a role player handbook, and not the how to develop a star handbook.

Pat is going to hold on to Wiltside this summer like this:
[tweet]https://twitter.com/si_vault/status/690289385183535106[/tweet]
Chris Sheridan was on the Big O show and he said that Riley told Dragic's people last summer that he intended to keep Whiteside around. I'm guessing that's part of why he didn't give him the max.

He didn't get the max because his current salary was still above market value

Miami needs to improve. This present roster is not even sure if they make the play-offs because of injuries and the coming road games are mostly against above 500 team. Don't know what kind of a player the Heat can get for $7m.
Other teams will be happy to see Whiteside remains as a Heat as a max player coz they know they wont have another rival to big name free agents plus the Heat remains the same borderline team.
What should the Heat do? Ask Wade to take less than $10m while watching his friends (Melo, Bron, Bosh) getting $20m?
Looks like the Heat has a tough decision to make with Whiteside. Hmmmm.... I will not be surprise if I see Whiteside in another uniform next season..

There is no way Whiteside doesn't get the max.
If we don't pay it then we're cheap and finished.
If we don't keep Whiteside then we may as well Trade bosh.
Can see Riley offloading Dragic, McRob, Bird before the deadline. at this rate a trade of Goran may be on the cards too.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders
