I'll be very surprised if Kerr doesn't make a run at him this season to be an assistant, with another team nabbing him next offseason as a HC.

Kentucky is it's own world. He might lose a job in the NBA after a game like Auburn. But he'd still have his health. There are never any guarantees in Lexington.

What could he add to the Spurs? I was not impressed with him. He may someday be a good coach, but I would perfer he learn on someone else's team?

He could add a lot to either team...he has intimate knowledge of what Lebron prefers to do in a multitude of situations. That has to be strategically valuable.....

He goes to GSW as a scout/assistance for the rest of this season, then becomes head coach of Pheonix, Nets, or Timberwolves next year.

Cats are in the midst of a crisis and this dude is busy playing Madden?

Could be worse - he could be asking girls if they want the pipe.

On second thought, at least that's entertaining for the rest of us.

Hm, would he come back? Could go back to euroleague and dominate for another decade.

Though i'd love him in minnesota, or on GSW as an assistant

I feel bad for Blatt because I don't think he was given a fair chance to do his job. Some on his own doing, but the rest by decisions made that he certainly wasn't apart of.

Like the Spurs' offensive system, he preaches ball movement and player movement. Having him on the staff as an assistant wouldn't hurt the team - it would only help. It's worth it for him as well, because he'd be learning from the GOAT coach.

Funny thing is Blatt accepted the Warriors assistant coach offer only to sign with Cavs last summer.

SAS should be in joy as there is a new black coach in the league.

Because he didn't know what else to do. Sometimes patience is the best way to go. The only thing I can think of is that Griffin is hoping that Lue is going to perform some sort of miracle which I highly doubt. Blatt is nothing more than a bad scapegoat. If I were a Cavs fan, I'd stop showing up to some of the games in protest for the way their FO/Management is handling things.

Jokes aside, I really dislike this move for Cleveland, David Blatt is a phenomenal coach. I hope he gets an opportunity to join a team that allows him to implement his offense instead of being forced to isolate through LeBron.

It is a combo that it was a wojo bomb, the actual firing after a win, and the fact that realgm crashed...

I agree, but he had no choice. Regardless, LeBron saying/acting like he had nothing to do with it is pathetic. I just want a coach LeBron respects.

When you lose the locker room, what else is there to say?

Risky, tough decision. Blatt will be fine though, this was never what he signed up for to begin with.

maybe it was deserving, but im positive if you put the 2011 heat roster in cleveland that spo would have gotten fired at some point as well. having a strong front office is important, people forget the mess the cavs were before he came back. One reason lebron left miami was Riley woudnt bow to the King (biggest reason being wade was way past his prime).

I don't think he ever really had it, it's always been Lebron's and it most likely will get even worse, now that all the players and coaches have seen what happens to you when you fall out of Lebron's favor.
