Just fire Skiles
Can't figure out his rotation. Team is slumping bad. Have failed to make substitutions and call timeouts in key moments of games costing us wins. I'm not impressed. And at this point I'm not buying his system. I know we still need to tweak the roster but, knowing that at least one more coaching change is needed to get to even contender level, why not pull the trigger now? I say we go for it and roll the dice. Who to replace him? Not sure... Thoughts? JVG, D'Antoni, Avery Johnson, Mark Jackson, hand the house to Calipari, quickly rebound on Blatt, Walton...
Something needs to be done! Now...

Skiles is the only reason this team even has twenty wins. The roster has no chemistry, despite its talent. It's a roster problem, not a coaching problem.

This loss was not on Skiles. You can't shoot red hot all game and then slump when it matters!

As with everything it's a bit of everyones fault. Yes that includes the coach. He deserves to be evaluated as harshly as everyone else. Right now he is doing a verrrrry shaky job.

Re: Just fire Skiles
Love it. It was only a matter of time.
The team has its first rough patch of the season and it is time to fire the coach.
Most realistic projections of our team had us as a sub-.500 team. We have performed better than most people expected, including our fan base on RealGM.
We are still an incredibly young team with a new coach. Expecting them to play consistently is naive. If we finish the season with our current win percentage...this season was a win.

For reals. I'm done with Skiles and have zero faith in him now but we can't seriously fire him yet. Considering he was probably forced on Hennigan, Skiles is going to get a long leash anyway by the ownership.

I think if we kept a log of the questionable decisions he's made through the season we'd have less people making excuses for him. He is not all bad, but this guy is not some great coach... he's got massive flaws that people keep pretending aren't there.

Adam he needs to chill with the Fournier love. Seriously Fournier is playing bad basketball. I hate seeing him out there right now, can't stand watching selfish basketball players. So if you're reading this Fournier YOU SUCK RIGHT NOW. Play some team basketball out there.

Re: Just fire Skiles
i'm done with skiles but i'm not naive to think that he's going to be fired any time soon, i'd bet my house that some of the players are already fairly annoyed by him as well but they got a job to do. To me it's Skiles and the Roster and by association Hennigan, everyone has to take some lumps, skiles with how he's using the personnel and certain schemes and the players with some of them not performing well and hennigan with some of the pieces he put together that might not fit well. I just wish Skiles would take a bit more responsibility for his part in this mess, very quick to put the players in the cross-hairs when things go wrong. EVERYONE should be held accountable including himself.

Do we now remember JB and Vaugh? Skiles is the best we can get right now. Although, I think Luke Walton will get a coaching gig soon.

Re: Just fire Skiles
Idc about his rotations/lineup changes. My only critique is not calling a damn timeout when it's needed. When the other team has all this momentum, call a damn time out, stop the bleeding holy ****.

Authoritarian Parenting
Authoritarian parenting is where parents establish the rules and expect that children will follow them without exception. Children have little to no involvement in problem-solving challenges or obstacles. Instead, parents expect that children will follow all of the rules all the time.
If children challenge the rules or ask why, they are usually told, “Because I said so.” Children are not usually given the reasons for the rules and there is little room for any negotiation. Authoritarian parents may use punishments instead of consequences.

At least he's only going to stick around for a little while before he burns this bridge. This is also what I tell myself about Kidd.
