we need to go back in time and trade for Ish Smith. But then again, not sure how much that would help our defense.

Or our offense, since I don't think we would spread the floor and run high PnR's all game long to accomodate Ish Smith

Plenty of truth in that, but we could benefit from the penetration.

Yep he would at least make opposing points work on defense.

I didn't mean AA is Kobe... just their styles are similar. Don't see anyone in this conference thats dangerous outside of Cleveland.

I don't see a playoff team yet. I see a team that will have ups and downs and hover around .500.

That's because we have a weak Point Guard.

And coach.

Calderon should be cut. The team will not miss a beat. I'm going to question Phil's decision making if we don't acquire a point guard during the trade deadline. Most playoff teams are trying to make moves while we're here taking our time evaluating the team. Calderon is not going to improve on the defensive end....and for Fisher to continuously start him gbad game after bad game just shows how horrible of a coach Fisher is. He has to be the worst coach we've had in the last decade.

Yes and no. The smart move is definitely to put ourselves in position to make a run at an elite PG in 2017 but we need to upgrade before then. With Calderon we'll keep falling short of our potential and look less impressive to future FA targets. Give us a solid upgrade for the next 1.5 seasons and we can make noise while Melo is still the first option.

Then KP keeps developing, we get a stud PG, and Melo becomes an extremely efficient 1B player in 2017 and we win the championship.

Start Galloway. That should've been done weeks ago. Bring in a few 10 days for evaluation to see if they can give us backup minutes. Whatever we do, the Jose Calderon era needs ro be over. If we do those things, we give ourselves a fighting chance.

or as in not a giant gaping hold on defense? cuz fan favourite delly is a fa this year

Dellavadova would be a great fit in the triangle. Dunno how much $$ he'd command though.

no hes trash plus he's undersized we need like a Darren Collison,DJ Augustin, or maybe Devin Harris.

I have a feeling that if the spot is open in 2017 Chris Paul will come over to end his career with his buddy Melo.

That'll never happen. By the way, did you know that Phil Jackson was a our GM?

If we can't get Conley this summer I'm saving money and rolling with JMFG.

I completely understand that sentiment, but I think the reason that doesn't happen is because Fish/Phil don't want to slow down the second unit, which is faster group, with Jose. I think Jose just fits in better with the starters. Plus, the way the rotation is working now, LG gets to finish games, which I like.

I would support LG getting more playing time over Jose tho - depending on the match up and how the game is flowing.

Deli is an overrated version of galloway he's only good because he plays with lebron idk why you guys love him so much. He wouldn't solve anything for us. He's reckless and he would be terrible in our offense.

If we can get Bàtum or Conley without breaking the bank we should do it. If not Then get someone someone cheap or on a one year deal and wait till next 2017.

Westbrook and Curry are not coming here though. I could see us having a shot at CP3 though pending on how age is treating him.
