Jeez, just marry him if you like him so much.

Rock Hardy wrote:As Ethan tweeted recently, "because he can coach." Criticisms of his performance have often rung hollow. Mostly it comes down to complaints about substitution patterns, or refusal to play fan favorites that analytics suggest shouldn't be played. See Beasley and now Whiteside.
The truth of the matter is that he's got a lot of respect in the coaching community, and if we ever let him go, he'd be quickly scooped up got another head coaching gig. Then he'd come back and smack us around a few times each year, probably with a younger, healthier roster. No thanks. It's the grass is greener complex that leads to rash decisions and poor results. I don't know what Spo is supposed to have done with the rosters he's had the last two seasons. We've has a couple dumb losses this year, when healthy, but that's going to happen to every team over the course of 82 games. When our guard and power rotations are banged up like they are lately, I'm not sure how we're supposed to win either. Plus, we have no outside shooting in a league migrating to the arc. I don't think the criticism will end anytime soon, but I assume a HoF coach as GM and president is able to understand the circumstances and base his decision on that. We'll see. For now, I just how we can get healthy and back to winning soon.

Flash4thewin wrote:What coach is not respected in the coaching community? Honestly its not the grass is greener its more like reality and looking at his actual performance. Pre Lebron it was hero Ball with Wade. With Lebron and Bosh we underperformed. We won on pure talent not coaching sadly. How many times would Lebron see things and coach the team with Spo saying it was his call then later be questioned about it. ( Our own reports questioned him because they know hes not that good, let that sink in). The simple concept of feeding the hot hand has eluded our head coach for so many years now its like a prideful sign of ignorance. If Spo coached Curry he would watch him hit 4 3pters then sub him out. You know what im even willing to give him a pass on part of this because its not like our coaching staff is that great either. I cant understand why we cant hire the best assistant coaches money can buy to help our coach? The Warriors liked Kerr but surrounded him with some of the best assistant coaches money can buy to make sure he succeeds.

Available evidence says otherwise. The running joke used to be "how many all stars does Lebron need to win a championship?" ... now it's "how many all stars does Spo need to advance past the 1st round of the playoffs?"
