I've read Blazer fans call him "Gobe."

Coincidentally, talked with his dad today for the podcast. Such a great guy.

that article was pretty neat. It's absolutely crazy that Kobe could tell that the rim was 1/4 of an inch too low.

I recall that Dirk also once did the same thing.

Interesting how no one misses Henderson this year.

Not that I miss him either, but he might be one of the few Bobcats that doesn't get the +5 stat boost from nostalgia.

I like him as a human being and admire his work ethic, but yeah.. he probably would have never accepted being a bench player for our franchise. So there really isn't a place for him here. Moreover, he's not doing all that good at Portland (besides a mini improvement in three-point shooting).

Hard to say what kind of market will be there for him next summer. Does he become the 3mil veteran guy who is good to have around and who knows how to defend?

I miss him in MKG's absence. He'd be really good in PJ's current role.

Was going to say the same thing. He would be way more helpful next to Batum. Obviously those two were mutually exclusive though.

Anyone would be good in PJ's role though - which is basically to be MKG's fouls

Lamar, I think this podcast visit with Gerald Henderson Sr was my favorite one you've done, just because of the affection I had for Hendo Jr. You ask questions that help your interviewees open up and reminisce sweetly. Hope lots of others are listening: http://thehandlepodcast.libsyn.com/gerald-henderson-012116

I thought you'd get a kick out of this photo, with the Hendos Sr & JR + Wayne Ellington at UNC game; funny Elllington ended up there while Hendo went down the street to the competition; I think you can tell from the looks on their faces.

Thanks, man! Great to hear that you're catching these podcasts on your own, without me force-feeding the links to you guys on the board.

And, man, do the Hendos look pissed in that photo or what, haha!? Judging from this picture, you wouldn't be able to tell that Hendo and Ellington are good friends.

last night Hendo casually took three threes in the span of 1 minute and 15 seconds, made two of them. seems like the improved clip of 3s per 36 will withstand the whole season.

would happily bring him back as a reserve, always professional through some crappy years.

solid defender, as long as he is willing to shoot the 3

I'm pretty sure I saw Hendo shoot a 3 last night with his foot on the line, like always.

yep, I noticed that one. was pumped to see him make a third three in the quarter, only to find out that he stepped on the line.

Always felt he was an over rated defender. Thought he was especially weak off ball. Not a bad body on body defender and obviously never backed down from anyone.

Agreed though, id have him back in a back up wing role at about $2.5 mil a year.
