Magic Grizz Aftermath thread. Stupid is as Skiles does

Post#1 » by MagicStarwipe » Tue Jan 26, 2016 4:03 am

Why was the thread closed?

"I thought we knew that when there wasn't an open man from the inbound, we'd call a timeout" or something like that.. just small digs.

Obviously that's a mistake, but there was like 10 **** things we did wrong that 4th/OT..

And of course our spineless reporters dont ask about AG.

What did I say?

Would love to hear his reasoning for no Gordon in the 4th. Plus Mario didn't play second half.

Please trade deadline... clear some spots.

Yeah, Skiles is definitely not a good man manager. I'm sure Payton gets all the small digs against him and that he is pissed off. Whole Skiles's rotation is definitely ridiculous. I am especially annoyed when he puts people in 10 seconds before the game ends. That's just insulting.

He does not trust rookies at all. AG gets the nod to start after 40 games and then isn't held on the floor to finish the game. I cannot wrap my head around that. My only explanation is that Skiles was forced to make a change to the starting lineup but it wasn't his wish. So he starts with AG but in crunch time goes back to his preferred lineup with obviously does not work anymore. Stubborn as hell.

No idea, I actually think we should always close the game thread and have a post game thread... noticed some other boards do that.

Just going to enjoy this team as a rebuilding team instead of hoping for playoffs now, schedule is not kind to us.

Even with Vaughn and his awful habits and rotations, at least we knew we'd suck and our young players would occasionally have big games.. we literally play like Spurs with less ball movement, less tempo, less athleticism, less shooting..

Problem is, I won't get to enjoy anything because our coach won't **** play our draft picks.

It really is quite infuriating how skiles played the THAT lineup the entire 4th and overtime, you know the same lineup we were underachieving with at the beginning of the season and then scrapped for frye.

Now we have gordon starting and he still buries him on the bench lol

As much as I liked how Fournier was used in the first half, Skiles has to accept his limitations and stick with the starting lineup that worked. If Skiles can't accept Fournier for what he is, one of them has to be removed.

It's really getting bad. Like, I've debated with people in this thread about his usage of certain players and even they are seeing how stubborn he's become.. the fact that there are still people that are defending Skiles so vehemently is wild to me. Not once has he ever taken accountability, so are suppose to never blame him as well?

Nobody is saying it's not on the players, the players that are out there have to produce.. but we don't play to our strengths lineup wise or play style wise.. so asking them to do so is always going to look weak.

skiles is obviously an idiot but just imagine the existence of someone who hears his idiocy and thinks, wow, he nailed it, you're hired! where's the packers ownership model when you need it

4th quarter/OT...grizz 10 offensive boards, magic 0 offensive boards.
Gordon benched for rebounding too much through 3 quarters #NotTheOnion

I actually feel a bit bad for Hennigan, I don't think this is what he pictured at all. Alex Martins 100% pushed this Skiles hire, like they kept bringing it up when nobody was even asking.. "I know Skiles, but that didn't have any bearing on the hire! wink wink"

Yea I don't get it. Seems like there was a starting lineup change just to give the fans what they wanted and to please the front office but late in games Skiles is being stubborn and putting in Evan

Fournier played the final 26 minutes of the game.
Oladipo played the final 20 minutes of the game.

This coach has no concept of game management.

If we keep this up we will be bottom 5 in the league by the end of February. Right where we were last year. As much as I am jumping off the Skiles bandwagon we need to change some players. We have some boneheaded players. They're losing games just like they did last year.

I was to heated to watch it, but I am assuming the scared little whimpy reporters didn't ask any questions that need to be answered. I did hear that he put the blame on Elfrid (again, 2 games in a row). There seriously needs to be some thoughts in Henny and co's mind about Skiles blaming losses on certain players when everyone knows damn well that he lost us these two games.
