lin is just not that dynamic a playmaker in this Hornets "structured" offense, although he is solid, he does not have much freedom to be creative... Lin thrives in a high octane open space offense as the main ball handler...

Well regardless of how this season turns out. At the very least Lin has shed his "bad at D" label that he was so unfairly saddled with. Not only can he defend PGs but he's checking a good number of SGs too, that'lly only help on his resume as to wherever that leads him.

Damn was so hoping he'd add "39-40%" 3pt shooter to his resume too, ugh.

Great job by Lin.

I think he likes this organisation.

At least he's not the whipping boy on this team.

He did get chewed out by Clifford though after that silly TO late in the 4th. I actually LOL'd at that.

At least he's the coach.

What Harden and Kobe did to him was despicable.

Yeah, I like Clifford and thought it was warranted. Just thought it was funny, I think Lin dribbled the ball into 3 guys or something and happened at a very important juncture as well. Clifford was throwing F-bombs after that play lol.

I hope he gives Kemba a real rocket then.

No win without Lin tonight.

But it was totally unnecessary at that juncture as our lead was dwindling down to 3 so I agreed with Cliff for being irate. Maybe I'll replay it tomorrow but it was hilarious to me at the time. Sometimes you just have to laugh at silly plays, also LOL'd when Kemba dribbled into 3 players in OT and couldn't get up because of his sore knees. Maybe I have a weird sense of humor...

lin had the vision of lane, is it risky? yes, but you got to take your chance, the offense has hit a stall by then, the ball hovering around the arch with all low percentage jumpers... he saw the lane wanted to split the double team to take it, Collison could be called a foul on that too... that's not a bad move, players do that... it is not a silly play... Coach clifford is a conservative coach, i bet he would not like it... but if I were lin, I would do it again, just do it better

you gave lin too much credits for that... Troy has always been a lights out shooter, he and Covington lead the D-league in three points taken and made before the Rockets called him up for the playoff run... if anything, Troy did himself a big favor, has the ability and knocked down big shots...

definitely true, but that 3 was a huge clutch 3 for the rockets that sealed the game for them against the portland trailblazers. If it wasn't for that ONE shot, most people would not know who he is even today. Sure TDaniels still wouldve made his mark eventually but i think it wouldve taken him longer.

although lin got two terrific games in the roll, his PER actually went down a little bit... since he played 40/50 minutes and 5/3 TOs really hurt too...

It goes to show that PER has nothing to do with the actual games.

I don't know man, a resulted TO at a crucial moment is never a good risk to take especially if it's a play with a higher degree of difficulty. Coaches would rather a player miss a shot then make TOs such as this at crucial moments, I just recall saying to myself "yep you deserve this one Jeremy" lol.
