Do you want Tolliver back and what would you pay?

Do you want Tolliver back and what's the best contract you'd give him?
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

I think something similar to Meeks' contract would be decent.

But yeah, he hustles hard and knows his role. Can't buy those intangibles easily nowadays.

Yes, I'd like to have Tolliver back. Even if we sign a new starter at PF (Horford?) and keep Illy. Now if we do that, I dont think we can afford much. I'd say 3M if he is our 3rd string and up to 6M if he is our primary backup.

Nah. Well one of Ersan or Tolly is fine, but I want an upgraded starter in a major way - and then would be fine with either Ersan or Tolly as the primary back-up I guess. But with Ersan's team option all but surely picked up, it means Tolliver would be 3rd PF here and can't justify paying him much in that role, and somebody should be offering him more.

Right price, sure. But if we keep Drummond and sign a good pf...it would depend on that price. I'm not offering $5 mil a year to someone who won't be in the rotation.

I'd say yes at about 3M, but recent role players like Baynes and Meeks were signed for 6M...
I really like him so I might go up. It depends on the other moves made as well.

Seems he really really likes it here. I think we can get him back for 3-4 mill per year. Not sure he wants to move again, his career is winding down. He actually get's PT here, he probably still would being a 3rd PF too.

If we sign Horford, he'd be the starter and Ilyasova is the bench player. I'd probably get rid of Meeks and sign Tolliver to a good contract and expect him to defend the 3. I don't think he's slow at all and he can keep up with the bench's SFs. That's the only solution I have for him. He's really good. He's just streaky but his defense is consistent. I'd probably let Stanley be a back up SG or start at SF. We'd have 5 forwards but with Stanley and Marcus's versatility, we can make it work.

Would be happy to have him back. $5-6mil if he's the primary backup 4. Half that if we sign a starting PF and still have Ersan.

Biggest knock on Tolliver is his shot was off for the first several games. The guy plays with effort ALL the time. He's a great locker room guy. Guards multiple positions. Shoots the three. Dives on the floor and out of bounds for loose balls. I'd absolutely like him back. Should be reasonable to get him at around 5 to 6 mil.
