Well if the staff member was really a close real life buddy, and the incident is some drunken mishap similar to when Big Baby broke a thumb fighting with a childhood friend, it's really freakin dumb and disappointing, but it's not the same as him repeatedly hitting a random coworker. Which is how it's gonna be spun and everyone here knows it.

One is a "you dumb f*ck just wasted our season" situation, the other is probably the end of this team and the beginning of a long rebuild under Doc, so basically back to the Sterling years.

I can't believe this. I know Blake is smarter than this. However I wasn't there so I don't know how this situation was instigated. We've been doing OK without him, so hopefully he can comeback with enough time to get acclimated before the playoffs.

I would suspect that he'll get fined and suspended as well.

The fault of that is split half both manager and player if the player make a fight with a guy on the team while on the road for games.

Regardless of details, Doc should not even allow the emergence that kind of personel issues in the first place. This is what personality handling is about in professional world.

we really don't know the details. Blake doesn't come at ALL like he would do something like this, even if he was drunk. He just doesn't have the personality for it.

Hopefully there is more to this story to maybe somehow justify it... but either way this really puts some difficulty into the season.

He could be looking at probation, and not being allowed back into Canada or overseas. It's unlikely a man with his resources would get prison time for common assault, but he could.
