Now that Joe Young is proving to have some rotation level skills and with Turner back, are there too many players on this squad?
G. Hill, Stuckey, Young
Ellis, GR III
George, S. Hill, Budinger
Miles, Allen
Mahinmi, J. Hill, Turner
That's 13 guys that have played reasonable minutes this year - some due solely to injury, but all of them have pulled their weight on the floor interchangeably.
I'm just curious to hear some thoughts on where to go with all of these players that seem to be 7-9 rotation kind of guys. I know I'm not sold on this starting unit. I have my questions on whether the team even feels that they've assessed everyone fully at this point.

Re: Is the rotation looking too long?
I think Vogel just needs to use Solo, Bud, and Jordan Hill situationally. Jordan Hill has played well for us, but Ian's better and Myles needs minutes. Give Young some of Stuckey's minutes and let him be the backup PG instead of forcing Stuckey or Ellis into that role. And have GRIII backup Paul.
Though I believe one of the bigger issues is the change in lineups from game to game. Guys like Miles, Allen, and GRIII sometimes play big minutes and sometimes barely play. I get the concept, but would like Vogel to settle on a SL and rotation going forward.

With more running, it is nicer to have a deeper bench, particularly in the regular season.
But yes, we do have a lot of viable players, so a consolidating trade might not be a bad thing moving forward.

Re: Is the rotation looking too long?
Hill/Young
Ellis/GR3
George/Miles
Turner/Allen
Mahinmi/Hill
That is what I saw last night. I wouldn't say that is a rotation that is too long, but I would point out that it is a rotation with a lot of length.
