I very rarely post but read nearly everything on this board but I have to say something. You are all over reacting every single game and it's becoming unbearable. It was never like this before, even if we had a great or terrible team a loss wasn't a catastrophic event that called your individual fandom into question. You are all correct Skiles is by far the most harsh on Aaron Gordon and Hezonja, their leash is extremely tight we can all see that. However, you must understand that is because they have the most God given talent of anyone on the team and they're young. Their athletic tools are outstanding and those don't disappear in a week or 6 months. So when Skiles pulls one from the game for a bad turnover, a stupid shot or a defensive lapse it teaches them to play properly. Do I think that both could impact the game more so than Napier and frye irrespective of turnovers and bad shots, absolutely. Does allowing them to do that teach them to become better basketball players in the long run? Absolutely not. This is a serious question, did any of actually play basketball? Because it's absolutely normal for the same to happen at all levels. Unless you're a Lebron or a kd you shouldn't be told do whatever you want and you'll figure it out as you go. As a freshman, sophomore in high school the seniors and juniors play. Its because they've learnt how to play or at least so understand how to play. We're currently on pace for about 35-38 wins this year and that's not so bad it's about where everyone had us before the season. Our core is so young these players you want rid of Fournier, Oladipo etc are all under 24. The passion is obviously good but just relax these kids are so young they will make mistakes and it will be frustrating but it the long run this will be for the best.
In saying all this do I think Skiles is a perfect coach who deserves none of the blame, absolutely not. However, you're acting as if this is all this fault. We had a four point lead with 17 seconds to go. We made two poor plays. He needs to get angry and make sure that these young guys don't do that again. Do you honestly believe behind closed doors him and his coaching staff have absolved themselves of the blame, of course not. You're all complaining about the lineup of Payton, Oladipo, Fournier,Harris and vucevic but what he did was run out our five best players against their five best players. Again, if you've played basketball you'd know this is relatively common to do. I'm sorry for the rant I'm sure it will make no difference and i make no claims to be absolutely correct but please just be patient. Talent takes time and needs to be taught properly.
