*Kemba now holds the distinction of having the lowest made field goals (5) for any player in franchise history with more than 25 attempts, breaking his previous record from his rookie year when he shot 6-for-26 vs the Bucks.

how could a franchise let a rookie shoot that much? and he only made 6? smh...

LOL that was the 7-win season. You should look at the other options we had that year. There was nobody on that team. That being said, I remember getting into a heated debate with some of the Kemba fans after that game because they were all giving Kemba the gold hammer because he scored 18, had 8 assists and 7 rebounds. He took a ton of awful shots that game.

Not impressed with stats only. If someone has to shoot 20+ times to get to 18 points, that's not a good basketball player. That's why guys like Melo, Harden and others that take a ton of shots will never win any championship. They are selfish players that's only there to pad their stats, don't play any D, or get their team involved. You let many NBA players take 20+ shots a game, chances are many of them will average 20+ per game too.

I don't think there's anyone here who will disagree that rookie Kemba sucked ass. However, giving him that many shots was hardly avoidable. Not even going to touch that Melo/Harden/etc garbage because if Kobe Bryant didn't have Shaq or Pau Gasol, you'd be saying the same thing about him too

Who are you arguing with? Nobody here is glorifying the game where Kemba took 26 shots as a rookie. That year was basically a joke, like the 76ers of last year. A team full of rookies and d-leaguers playing for a senile coach who had no clue what to do with the youngsters. On top of that, there was no training camp or preseason or summer league due to the lockout. It was just an all-around joke.

Felton never even did it once.

More amazing is that Crash only did it twice

surprisingly no. Felton did not have a single 25+ FGA game.

How many FGA's did he jack up during that hilarious drunk Clippers game?

My god that was one of the funniest games I have ever seen. Awesome GT that went with it as well.

If I remember correctly, Jackson was 1-for-16, with something like 9 turnovers and got ejected for technicals. Gonna check now.

We really need to get healthy so the Kemba chuck fest can end. I'm not bashing him. Him taking 25 shots is a necessary evil when we are this short manned and it actually works pretty well a fair amount of the time, but I cringe when watching the games where his shot isn't there but he still has to keep shooting like that.

1-for-16, 5 turnovers and he fouled out.

Damnit, I can't help but show some respect to anyone who would tweet that Nic Cage laugh. Thats from my second favorite Nic Cage movie, "Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans".

not exactly necessary nor appropriate when other guys were making shots. he single-handedly cooled them all down

Sorry, this is just...wrong. Zeller is the only big we have that isn't inept defensively. That includes Hawes.

With Hawes starting the last three-games the Hornets are 3-0. He's averaging 12-pts and 9-rebounds. I didn't see this in Zeller before he got hurt. Adams of OKC made he look like a high school kid.

It was incredible. It wasn't just the number of shots he missed, it was the types of shots he was taking.

And he was taking them like he'd made 100 in a row, not missed so many.

Let me also say that I think Zeller has a lot of potential. He runs the floor well and is very active. I just think that he needs to develop his strength because he gets pushed around a lot. Hawes I think is just one of those guys that is more productive as a starter. I'm sure Cody will get his starting position back when he's healthy again.
