Thanks. I turned 26 a month ago...so I guess its time to finish now. 11 semesters of studying have passed like a Fingerschnipp....but I guess afterwards time will run even faster lol.

I dont think Hertha needs a smaller stadium.
They need a new stadium for sure...but just imagine they build a 40-50k arena now and somehow manage to establish among the top 3-4 of the table...eventually you might have a Bayern Munich like situation where your newly constructed stadium is too small.

We are far away from establishing ourselves as a top team, like really really far away. I think it'd be better to build a stadium that might be too small if we somehow manage to become one than having a stadium that's just too big if we don't... because that's much more likely.

The problem is that most people in Berlin support Bayern. There are more Bayern fans than Hertha fans in the city. I know Nathan likes to laugh at this, but it's a fact. I dont think all the millions of foreigners living there care about Hertha.

Berlin's support is just too divided for Hertha to capture the city's attention in that far off stadium, with its crappy atmosphere; even if they were brilliantly run and managed to become european regulars (like BMG of recent years). Local support is just too split between the likes of Union, Dynamo, AK07, those inherited allegiances, and the trendy-clubs/hipster-favorites people adopt like BVB; for Hertha to pull it off with both a crap gameday experience and a club that isn't worldclass, nevermind one that has a long history of building-false-hope/disappointing-the-fans.

If they keep being run well support will grow a little, but that stadium will always cripple their ability to take over that City.

I never laughed at this, I laughed at you because you brought that up before the Bayern game just to troll.

Still not sure how that's supposed to be 'a fact' but like cgf said, in Berlin you have a lot of fans of the local clubs and even more of the club that is currently winning, just bandwagon fans. Berlin isn't Hertha's city but personally, I really don't care at all about that.

I said build 60k and leave reserves to increase to 80k in case they ever develop into a contender. Berlin is a large city...if there's a true contender in place they'll be able to put 80k in the seats.

Backing Serena as usual, but I find Tennis hard to follow in recent years. I was a big Sampras fan, but the players back then in general seemed easier to like as people. I was always more of a Venus fan so its sad to see her sister surpass her entirely as well.

I just can't find any stars I can connect with. I'm basically a Djokovic fan by default but the dude is so milquetoast. I hope the next generation is different, as the level and quality of play only continues to increase.

At some point I need to go to grad school. But my current job is so **** good I don't want to. School sucks, lol.

Djokovic is an unbelievable player (though I've grown to dislike some of his antics over the years), but I agree that he's pretty much a void as far as personality is concerned, and don't get me started on Andy Murray. The days of McEnroe and Borg are long gone, unfortunately. I love Federer though, simply can't hate the guy, he's the GOAT to me. Agree 100% about Nadal.

I wouldn't count on the next generation being more charismatic. It seems that with the advent of social media, sports stars of all disciplines and backgrounds are getting safer and safer. Of course, we get badasses like Stephen Jackson from time to time.

Can't see her beating Williams. She is just unbeatable in finals. Think the handball team has a better shot.

Kerber, on the other hand, is a top ten player for five years straight and has worked for everything she's got.
I'd really like her to make it to the final and then who knows.
