Cousins/Belinelli to Boston for Lee's expiring contract, Olynyk, Bradley, Rozier, Young, 2016 BK pick, 2016 Mavs pick, 2016 Celtics pick, 2016 Philly 2nd rd (#31), 2018 BK pick.

Value speaking, this would be a great return. But we're not looking to trade Cousins.

How is that a great return? That's mediocre at best

Don't get your hopes up....Danny would never offer all of that for a problem child....In fact my guess is that he isn't interested...

ddb is one of the Celtic fans who has wanted Cousins right along.... Believe me, there are just as many Celtic fans who can't stand him because of all his problems....He could be the best player in the league, but his personality issues and questionable attitude cancel out his many positives...but the bigger deal is he just wouldn't fit in with what we do in Boston....any more than Rajon Rondo did....

The only way the C's would possibly get involved would be as a facilitator for a larger deal perhaps?...But best believe Boogie wouldn't land in Boston.

Which is probably why you would never be able to trade him?

You guys all want too much in return....You will never get greater value in a trade for him than what ddb just offered you...

If that was Danny and not ddb, you guys should grab that and count your lucky stars that the problem child is gone...

Bingo......one question....when Cousins goes off for 40 or 50, how often does your team actually win the game?

Think about that....I know you guys have been praying for a winner in a division that has been tough for so long....

But you need a team who plays together, plays defense every night and shares the ball...."Stat hounds" will get you nowhere fast...even if it is somewhat entertaining to watch...

You let the pick of the litter get away when you traded IT.....Do you realize that?

Kings are 2-1 this season when Cousins scores 40+ and 5-3 when he goes for 35+.

Kings record with Cousins: 19-19
Kings record without Cousins: 1-7

The fact that this thread keeps being bumped I think gives outsiders a different impression when viewing the forum

A minority was into seriously discussing the option of dealing Cousins when he was struggling pre January that has since become a smaller minority. I don't think it's that active of an issue now

Yeah we can use that for an excuse....goes with the territory :D

I can conveniently get lost on another board from time to time when i read something outrageous.....

And in this case ddb made one of those offers that you can't refuse....And still you guys would rather keep Cousins...

That's just fine as frog hair with me....good luck my friend.....

Nah...it's just curiosity.....Cousins has the same sort of fan boy worship that Lebron has....Only Lebron is older and a bit wiser now....

When there's a train wreck, or when something spectacular happens of a positive nature, you are gonna have some fans checking pe-pe's... if you know what I mean...Kobe had his lot....and so many others....stands to reason that Cousins would get a look....

I suppose if that really bothers, you could always lock the thread?

I just find it funny that anyone thinks they know what either Boston or Sacramento would or wouldn't accept in a trade. It's your opinion but you say things like "Boston would never do that" or "Sacramento is would need more" when in fact you are making ill advised assumptions informed from media reports and your own wants for your team. Call it like it is and just say YOU don't like the deal or YOU don't think it will happen.

And that offer was me desperate after a couple losses in a row. I highly doubt Ainge would offer that much for Boogie. That was a Godfather type offer. I'd be more comfortable offering that same package to the Pelies for Anthony Davis

The Kings management has made it abundantly clear that they want to win now. I don't see them trading Cousins for future assets when they are going to be opening the new arena in 8 months. Its not even a question of value.

Do you honestly believe that package could net you Davis? Let's be honest, the only real asset in the package is the 2016 Brooklyn pick. The players are mediocre as none of them will change the outlook of the franchise. The Celtics and Dallas picks are mediocre non-lotto picks. The second round pick is irrelevant. And the 2018 Brooklyn pick is so far into the future that its value is entirely uncertain.

So when you really break it down its a poo-poo platter. There's a reason Ainge has been sitting on these "assets" for so long without making that much needed consolidation trade. Let's not pretend.

I am a Celtics fan. I think Cousins is one of the best big men in the game. If a player like Cousins is involved in a trade, definitely he demands a lot of value back in return. That said, that package is way too much.

1. Four first round including two unprotected from one of the worst teams in the league and a possible lottery pick from Dallas in addition to the 31st pick in this years draft. That is an outrageous package. That is 5 young players basically locked at ridiculously low rookie deals for multiple years with a sky rocketing cap.

2. No one really knows anything about Young and Rozier. They were 16th and 17th picks in recent drafts who have not played because they are stuck behind veterans in a playoff team. They are not throw ins by any means.

3. Avery Bradley and Kelly Olynyk are mediocre? I suppose you don't really get to see them play all that much, but they are invaluable part of our rotation. They are not salary fillers.

I don't even consider Cousins a huge problem off the court. I think there is probably a lot of media spin there. I think his contract is one of the best bargains in the NBA, but he is only locked for 2 years after which he would command a max deal in the range of 25-30 million per. I think a fair deal for cousins is David Lee, Olynyk and the three 2016 firsts, the Philly second. If that Brooklyn pick becomes Simmons or Ingram then it is already an overpay.

If the Kings put Cousins on the table, I expect the premium back. The guy is averaging 27 & 11 and has added a 3PT shot to his game. Although, his defense has regressed a bit but we all seen how his actual level of playing defense (for Malone) really is -- very, very good. So, what do we have here? A legitimate C that can score, rebound, pass, defend, draw fouls, face-up, etc. Cousins is the poster boy of a 21st century big. He can do it all. He's only 25 years old and has a couple years in his contract left. The Kings should expect big value for Cousins.

If so, Pretty please trade him to the East... I would hate to see WCS forced to guard Cousins four times a year, or god forbid meet Cuz in the playoffs . yikes

Ya agreed and I still don't think he demands a trade till next off season if it fails again. If he does this off season Simmons/Embiid would suffice.

If Cousins is traded I just want a good return and don't want him to go to the Lakers. Not really worried about facing anyone in the playoffs until Kings actually make the playoffs.
