Are some of you f#cking kidding? Look at his career passer rating and his career td to int ratio. He's won a playoff game year every year he's been in the league. Carson Palmer? Give Wilson someone like Fitz to throw to. And just so you know, all successful QBs have solid defenses and, at least, a decent running game. Also, he's always healthy. He's high character. Trent Dilfer is the lowest of the low when it comes to super bowl winning quarterbacks. Right now I take Brady, Palmer, Newton, Rodgers over Wilson, so I guess Wilson does sneak into that 5th spot, the illustrious 5th best QB in the league!

well that's easy..palmer has more yards, more defense adjusted yards above replacement, more effective yards, higher dvoa, won 3 more games in the same division etc

just about every legitimate stat tells you palmer is better, and as much as palmer chokes in playoffs he took his team farther so even team accolades point to him.

And the counter argument would be that Carson played in a more pass happy offense, thus his stats are inflated. It should also be pointed out that Palmer has the better offensive line, receivers and had the better supporting cast around him. Despite throwing less, Russ essentially threw the same amount of touchdowns. Only one fewer. Had the better QB rating. Yet was sacked 45 x compared to just 25 for Palmer. So basically he put up similar type numbers while under constant pressure for most of the season. Palmer is very good, when he has a clean pocket and a supporting cast. Meanwhile, we saw Sunday what can happen when he doesn't. Furthermore, If you had them swap teams, Russell would very likely put up bigger numbers in AZ and would make a legit case for being the MVP. While Palmer wouldn't have survived behind the Hawk's o-line.

Arizona's o-line isn't elite in any regards. But compared to the Hawks this year, it was head and shoulders better. PFF had Arizona's o-line 17th. The Hawks were 30th. I wouldn't say Palmer "obliterates" Russ when talking QBR lol. Palmer was 1st yes, but Wilson finished 4th. I would have to agree that he had a slightly better season than Wilson. But, to say that Palmer is light years better is just complete Hater talk. Palmer is 36 & has won one playoff game. ONE. Russell is 27 & just entering his prime.

All I can do is laugh. Personally, I wouldn't give Carson Palmer a mop job. I don't give a **** about his damn stats. He's a choker and always has been. But he is in a good place though. The Cardinals have been complete chokers since they were in NFC East. You could put a all star team around Palmer, and he would still choke. I hope he stays there till he retires, which should be fairly soon unless he gets run out of town when he chokes again next year. Oh, and the Cardinal fan that bragged about winning the NFC west this year. Please stop. Its makes you guys look bad. Look at the Cowboys, the Celtics, Lakers, etc., The only thing that goes up into the rafter's are world championships. Nobody from the Cardinals has ever gotten underneath my skin. I really don't care, just saying it looks bad bragging about a division title, especially when your trophy case is still empty. Actually, I'm still laughing for days now over that one. You guys are the ones that were bragging and thumping your chest since week 10, despite others predicting your end of the year demise.
