Yea i think initially he's best suited at PF. Will allow him to take advantage of match ups more.
If he expands his game offensively (mainly jump shot) I could see him sliding down to the 3 for spurts.
Developed Blake Griffin-ish. Not ish, u know what i mean.
I think he can play the 3 full time if/when he improves his jumper. Still, he is the type of guy that we would trade whoever is in his way if he had to play the 4.
We can't let ourselves be intoxicated by the fact that Ingram will slide right into the 3 seamlessly, whereas Simmons might encroach on some of our big guys.
I think that if we get the first pick that we should think of the Sixers as Simmons and Embiid. EVERYONE else would then be in the "find a role, or get traded situation."
As much as I talk about Simmons on these boards I am really trying to not think about him as a possibility. It just seems too good to be true given that we would only have a 25% chance at him if we finish with the worst record.
You're one of the only people I've seen who feel this way and I completely agree. Simmons is our best shot at having a franchise changer and I would move whoever is necessary to make him fit, especially if Embiid is healthy because I still believe he is our most talented big man. Those two playing next to each other would give us a legitimate championship front court.
