It just occurred to me, when teams go small, instead of Spo pandering to the other team (which he shouldn't anyway) why don't we utilise our strengths and move to a 3-2 zone so our big men can rest in the paint and protect the rim while our small guys cover the perimeter.
That then allows us to punish the other team on offense with inside scoring and offensive rebounding, whilst limiting the 3 point shooting of the other team.
Could really work well if Spo spent a few weeks of practice on it, would allow us to leave our best players on the floor *ahem* Whiteside.

Small ball is pretty much the weakness of any zone. No matter what Hassan would have to guard a small ball big when ever they flash to the gaps and it'll still take him away from the rim and leave us vulnerable for offensive rebounds. Also we'd have the same option to punish them on the offensive end.
