Just shows how a bad call or two really can decide a game. In my mind, two of the three fouls called on Aldridge would not be called 9/10 times. Instead, we lose him for most of the half because of it.

In saying that, the defense has been bad and the only time it looked ok was when we just swapped over to zone.

yeah we were opened up so bad in the 2nd. No timmy is bad enough but without LMA we're looking lost. Hopefully we can rectify these problems now instead of the arse end of the season.

Kawhi has been hammered twice on drives and the refs are looking the other way.

I said it at the start of the season and am backed up by what we're seeing again tonight, Aldridge should not be pump faking and then shooting off balance junk. The defense almost never fall for his fakes, he is that good a shooter he should just be letting it fly without all the hesitating.

He was supposed to solve our renowned scoring droughts with his supposed ability to just be given the ball and be automatic like he was on Portland but it's simply not the case.

He's shown that he can. He can knock down long 2's consistently but i agree that his hesitation play should not be a go-to move of his. I mean we've seen him do some Duncan-esque stuff this season with his post game. I personally want to see him be more aggressive overall. He has the body, the IQ and the moves to make pretty much any big man worry if he just believes in himself to do it.

That, however. Isn't happening tonight

Have to disagree there. How many, even 20 point games has he had? He has shown he can hit the odd shot but he is not the saviour that most of us thought he might be, in terms of bailing us out when the offense is in need.

But in general it shows just how important Duncan is. Offense and defense.

And manu, oh Manu, you are smarter and more experienced than to be blocked like that. Smh.

perhaps you're right. I'm not quite willing to call it just yet though. I really believe he can be that guy if we just air out the kinks and get him doing what he's supposed to be good at.

hehe it's not pretty is it? Although Kyrie has been amazing.

Here I am before the game saying Cavs offense has been horrible and they come out and completely blow us away.

I rewatched it again because I'm a sucker for punishment. Still would have lost either way but Pop gave up midway through the second quarter.

The minutes he gave Anderson were an example as was him putting Simmons on Kyrie. He wants Simmons to be the one who guards Curry should they meet in the playoffs. He is much quicker than Kawhi and better suited. I think as long as they lock up the second seed, it's all about testing rotations, giving guys experience and resting others.

Again, no discredit to the Cavs, that offensive display would have smacked most teams but this team is too experienced to put too much effort into just another regular season game.

I still think Boban needs more significant minutes for experience too. I would be starting him instead of West during Duncan's absence. He is going to be important.

And rewatching made me realise Danny Green was playing. You would never have know, I was sure we started the game 4 VS 5.
