Contrast that with Wall, who scored 19, but accounted for 16 zero-point possessions.

That is amazing. I hate watching the beard play, makes my nerve endings shimmy against a cheese grater, but no one could deny his productivity with a straight face. OTOH - I smiled every time Josh Smith stepped foot on the court.

This is the win that secures Ernie's next contract.

We should have pulled the trigger on that trade. Would have cost us Beal and Oubre probably... but we would be soooo much better.

I'm going to pull a Hands11. "Like I said", as-long as we have an occasional game like last night and we stay around that 8th seed, all we will get is a Ted/Ernie season -ending presser with spin a fan-pumping for the next season.

Went back and watched the last 8 minutes.

Some of the worst officiating I can ever recall seeing.

Intense game though. Sorry I missed it live.

I don't check this forum very often but (1) I'm sad to see Hands go and (2) I'm sadder that future generations of Wizboarders are not going to have any idea what your reference means.

I like watching Harden play. He does so many things well. That guy has WORKED on his game. I do wonder where his shot selection comes from. He focuses heavily on three kinds of shot attempts: threes, at-rim and free throws. And he's freaky efficient.

One of the things that consistently impresses me with him is the extension and control he has driving to the hoop. He often picks up his dribble 18 feet from the basket, and can take his two steps -- with one of them being a change of direction -- and still get a layup...through traffic and contact. I wish anyone on the Wizards had put as much time and effort into thinking through his game as Harden has.

I agree that Harden has incredible technical skill at what he does. That said, I would like it if the referees stopped giving him the foul call on those plays when he clearly initiates all the contact on a backpedaling defender.

He had one real dirty play against Nene where he took a layup in Nene's vicinity, threw the ball up early in his shooting motion, then reach and grabbed Nene's arm and pulled Nene down. Yet somehow, the foul was called on Nene.

Both these teams are frauds. Harden is the worst "superstar" in NBA history.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.
