Devin Booker | Kentucky | SG | 6-6 | 205 41% 3pt shooter this is what SVG wants.

Both CBSsports.com and Draft Express agree that Booker will be chosen ninth overall by the Charlotte Hornets. He had a strong workout with Charlotte and the team just traded their 2009 first-round pick Gerald Henderson, who plays the same position as Booker (shooting guard).

Big Board:
1. Justice Winslow
2. Stanley Johnson
3. Kelly Oubre
4. Mario Hezonja

Want no part of: Anyone else.

Dream Scenario: One of my top 4 big board.
Well, you've made me revisit him, (Oubre)and yeah, I guess it wouldn't be terrible if we drafted him, but he would be the riskiest sf selection in the draft. Seems lazy, and disinterested at times, and that concerns me to no end.

Not at all. In fact, he reminds me of Drummond. People are plastering a "lazy" sticker on him because he didn't produce in college the way people thought he should have. But he did work on his game and responded well to coaches expecting more of him and calling him out.

Big Board:
1. Karl Anthony Towns
2. Mario Hezonja
3. D'Angelo Russell
4. Frank Kaminsky
5. Myles Turner
6. Cameron Payne
7. Jahlil Okafor
8. Emmanuel Muddiay
9. Stanley Johnson
10. Justise Winslow

Want no part of: Porzingas

Dream Scenario: Hezonja

Looking back at past lotteries, most franchise SF are either so obvious they go top 1 or 2, or they slip out of the lottery because they haven't developed yet. There's a long list of star college SF who are mediocre in the NBA.

Bump. We've already seen a lot of internal movement. Let's see how it plays out after the season begins.

You think Winslow and Mario are better than Stan?

I used to think Winslow was better, and was pissed when we passed on him but after summer league and preseason Stan made the right choice.

Mario is a whole nother ball of wax. That kid is off the charts with potential. His athleticism is elite, and so is his shooting. He has all world potential. If Stanley Johnson could be an all star, Hezonja could be a superstar.

I don't see my big board, but i know i had JW,Oubre,SJ in terms of SF and at some point i watch extensive film on SJ and was like, oh sh*, and was firmly on the SJ bandwagon.

I remember you really wanted Myles Turner.

Didn't see many people with Myles Turner on their big boards, and he's proving himself to be a top level prospect at a position of need.

Really speaks to the inherent unpredictability of all of this, I suppose.

I remember vic and Blkbrd671 both talked about him a lot in the draft thread. I didn't like him for the Pistons cause I see him as a C and still do.

you are absolutely right, and everyone was like

but he runs funny

I just recall seeing how he can shoot the ball for a big man and play D. Like everything monroe wasn't with more, and better work ethic. I also said zinger wasn't going to be ready for another 2 years. So shows how much i know

At the end, once i saw what SJ brought(as i kind of skimmed his film before), i knew he had to be the pick. Versatility is at a premium.

I remember I was high on Johnson, Hezonja,Winslow and Portis going into the draft. I thought Tirner and Booker would be underwhelming so I guess I messed up that.

It is great to review old threads. I think it humbles everyone a little bit and shows how hard it is to make "perfect" decisions when sitting in the GM chair. Would Porzingas be a stud or a Darko? Can Hezonja play in this league? Is Winslow worth a top 5 pick? And I'd still say we have another year or so before we know for sure on all these rookies.

Yikes. I had some misses. Will do it again this year since we have a lotto pick.
