JC really frustrated in his post game interview. Horry goin in on him for his frustration because he wasn't doing his job defensively. The ship has officially sunk.

This isn't the Lakers... Feels like a nightmare as a fan. I really feel bad for Kobe.
I find myself watching a lot more Lakers videos recently, old games and stuff... DJ Mbenga against the Timberwolves as an anti-depression therapy.

Good point. Clifford has the Hornets moving the ball on offense and playing defense with energy and a purpose. They don't have great talent, but he gets the most out of what he's got. Too bad things couldn't have worked out differently.

Let Luke and/or Mad Dog coach out the season. Too bad they want the top three pick and it won't happen.
I'm against tanking because it's against the idea of the game, how it should be played. It not only fails to teach our youngsters how they should play, it actually teaches them to play the way they should never know how...
You'll never see Phil tanking...

Thanks for setting the bar so low.
Actually you got that backward, it's a testament to a death of talent the past few years that I appreciate Ryan Kelly. I almost shed a tear when we didn't bring Manny Harris back and I tore my clothes and poured ashes on my head when we didn't keep guys like Kent Bazemore, Jeremy Lin, and Ed Davis. That's how low the Lakers have set the bar.
No, man, when guys can half-play this game I'm blown away. Because it's amazing how most of the guys on our team actually do not know how to play this game, at least with each other, under Byron Scott.

No matter how you spin it, Ryan Kelly sucks with and without Byron Scott. You're just blind to see it.

Re: LA Lakers vs Charlotte Hornets 6:30 PT 01/31
There is no spin. Our team in general sucks. Yet Ryan Kelly is young, has great size, improved a lot in his game, so that's what makes me optimistic that he can be a better player. You really can't say that with most of the players on our team. They're either limited veterans or young guys with fatal flaws, who've either plateaued or regressed.
So in that context, I have some hope in Kelly, which is perhaps making a big deal about not much, but hey, it's all relative. It's our own team, these are our players for better or worse, so if anybody even shows a pulse or a hint of something, that gets my attention.
I don't dislike any player on our team. We all have favorites, but I don't hate anybody. Ryan Kelly is actually not a favorite, but I just see potential with him based on encouraging stats and the eye test. Of course, you guys can disagree, but it's just a fact that Kelly's improved in some key categories (and struggled in a few, but overall, he's gotten much more well-rounded and playing like a big man). And my eye test says that he's unselfish and tries to play the right way. Maybe that doesn't matter to you guys, but it's huge for me - all the best teams who develop overlooked talent has that as a common denominator.
But hey it's a free country, you guys can trash any of our players you want. But I like Kelly more than Hibbert, for many good reasons that I've stated before, and I think Kelly should get a solid chance. There's enough there to warrant that, and that's a matter of opinion, but I guess you guys agree with Byron Scott about Ryan Kelly. I don't.
