What would you guys think about something like:
Faried + Chandler + Nurkic + HOU 2016 1st + something...?
Faried + Chandler + Nurkic + HOU 2016 1st + something...?

no thanks. the value seems tempting but in all reality you're trading a superstar for a guy who might not resign and if he does it's a max when he's a big past 30, a couple role players (albeit one with potential) and late first rounders.

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
2 players in return are too old for neither of the picks to be lottery picks.
I'll be honest. I think someone else said it. If we're gonna trade Griffin, I might need to have my front office restructured.
I can't have Doc overseeing this trade. He's not interested in developing a damn thing…so even if we got picks back for Griffin, he'd probably burn em on Jeff Green or something.
ZZZZzzz
Paul George and a pick….thoughts?
Not a win now move since it would leave us without a PF…but man can he shoot it and defend. Probably the best 3 and D in the league (even though he's more than that). You get age 26,27,28 and 29 I believe out of him….You have 2 1st Rounders to try and make the core of him, CP3 and DeAndre work.

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
i'd assume they're similarly valued so i'd expect something closer to a straight up trade (assuming contract lengths are same-ish).
i definitely don't hate it if the team feels compelled to trade blake. i think blake's the better player but i think pg's defensive ability lets the team do more on that side of the ball. that said we're now in a league where bigs who can stretch the floor are at a premium and i think you lose more options by trading blake away than what you gain by adding pg. not just that, but one of these days someone will try to small ball blake in the playoffs and he is going to obliterate them, making all the haters realize how dumb they were for doubting him.
if ryan andersons were a dime a dozen i might say differently though.

also might be even inclined to it if we had a favors-level defensive guy at PF, but who's to say blake can't get there someday as well with some more time?

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
I don't think Blake can get there ever really. Derrick Favors has a 7'4 wingspan and a 9'2 standing reach. He has the length of a C while Blake has the length of a SF, 6'11 wingspan, 8'9 standing reach. Blake hands up is playing half a foot below Favors already...
Watching the development of Rodney Hood, I know a lot of us wanted him in the 2014 draft, but we kind of knew he wouldn't make it to the Clippers spot which he didn't. It would have been really nice if we had figured out a way to move up and get him though.
I don't believe Doc would do it, but like I've said many times before, DJ for Horford+ is very tempting.

yeah i find it unlikely but i also see a lot of things that blake can do a lot better, so i think there's a lot of room for him to improve.

Does anyone really want Monroe at that contract though? (obviously there's someone, but who?)
Honestly, everyone knew the issues with him and defense, just like Kanter's similar issues, but the Bucks thought they could overcome them. Monroe does not fit on this team, and certainly not for DJ.

we can also offer Henson in a similar package or in addition to Monroe. we can also absorb salary into our TPE if you guys want luxury tax relief. Realistically your current core isnt a legit title contender, i figured getting assets that will keep you highly competitive and maybe even gel better would be ideal for a guy like DJ. Monroe issue is defense I think our scheme just requires too much of him, hes actually not terrible at Man to Man defense, and his rotations have improved vastly over the past few games. I want DJ on the bucks without giving up KMidd,Giannis, or Jabari & Vaughn. you guys can take whatever else intrigues you. I think Monroe and Griffin would work very well IMO

Basically no they won't work better together, he kills the Clippers defense and will occupy some of Blake's spots, and secondly if the Clippers wanted to trade DJ to go in a different direction, there are better options to explore. Monroe isn't even an option.

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
The only realistic offer being thrown around is the Blake for George deal. Even then, im not sure how that gets done and I am sure each team would want more in return.
Im a huge Crowder fan, but a package built around him and the Brooklyn pick is meh, even if it results in Simmons. To me, if we want to deal Blake and are looking to rebuild I want a high lotto pick in next year's draft. The problem there is its impossible to deal Blake to a team this year and then land a high lotto pick next year unless its via another team. Also, Blake is opting out after next season, so dealing Blake next summer is too late to capitalize on his value.

Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

Griffin For Durant Is Now Real - Woj Bomb
Yahoo! Sports: Warriors Serious Threat To Sign Kevin Durant
Trading Griffin for Durant may be the only way to prevent the Warriors from becoming the second coming of the 1959-68 8-time champion Bill Russell Celtics.

only way for the league to compete would be for lebron to opt out and sign with the spurs/lac to counter.

Re: Trade Idea Thread II
Warriors certainly would be formidable with all those shooters, but also would have no bench. Suppose it wouldn't matter with those guys on the floor and able to be staggered.
Regarding the Clippers, I think a sign and trade of Blake for Durant is a no-brainer. Durant is the perfect fit next to DJ, Redick and CP3. He can fill our hole at the 3 and also play the 4 next to DJ. I'd do that deal in a heartbeat, assuming his health checks out.
