Re: Charlotte vs Cleveland Wed 2/3 7PM EST
If we were healthy and firing on all cylinders we might have a chance, we're not though and Cleveland is. Maybe when we play them again after the all-star break and we're finally healthy we can take one.
I expect there is a good chance Lamb is back for this game. It would be nice if we could get an update on how Cody is doing too.

Re: Charlotte vs Cleveland Wed 2/3 7PM EST
Seems like we should be getting injury updates today, probably after practice.
Not sure what to expect after this game. Honestly at this point I'd be happy with three things:
(1) No new injuries and no aggravating existing injuries.
(2) MKG keeps MKG'ing and building up his stamina.
(3) Keep it competitive.

Clifford, "I don't think there's another team that can rival the number of injuries we've had to the caliber players we've had," #Hornets.

Nic Batum did not practice this morning along with Kemba (sore knee). Jeremy Lamb and Cody Zeller did practice #Hornets.

I think the Pelicans would like a word, but we are definitely in the top 3-5. This has been horrible

Nic Batum, Marvin Williams and Frank Kaminsky are the lone rangers putting in the extra time as practice concludes #Hornets.

Wiz lead the league in missed game due to injury. We are #7. However, that list doesn't take into consideration the impact of the guys who are missing.

At least we have MKG back. Anyone seen a mention of Lamb or Zeller's status?
Edit: CBS says Zeller is listed as questionable

Rest them all. We're not beating the Cavs even if we were at full strength. We have winnable but tough games after that against Washington, Miami, and Chicago. Save them for those games.

can we leave Batum in a moon boot or tie him to a bed until that bloody toe has healed?
I think its the first time I've ever been annoyed at hearing a player putting extra work in after training

I hope Kemba, Lin, Lamb, Batum, and Zeller all sit out. We basically have no shot If Batum and Lin can't play and Kemba isn't healthy. Rest everyone and let Cleveland slaughter our bench players. I fully expect everyone but Batum and Lin to play and suck for way too many minutes and remain injured.

Re: Charlotte vs Cleveland Wed 2/3 7PM EST
With Bonnell in SF, Bill Kiser gives us some injury updates:
-- Hornets center Al Jefferson took the next step in his return to the lineup from knee surgery, being cleared for non-contact and conditioning drills late last week.
Jefferson was cleared during the West Coast road trip, taking part in his first drills Saturday. Tuesday, he had his first one-on-one drills and ran sprints along the sidelines.
“It feels good, man,” Jefferson said. “My lungs hurt, but it still feels good to get back on the court and get back running again and don’t feel pain when I run.”
Team officials said then recovery and rehabilitation would take about six weeks, meaning Jefferson probably won’t play until after the NBA All-Star break. The Hornets’ first game after the break is Feb. 19 at Milwaukee.
“They said it depends on how I feel,” Jefferson said. “If I had my way, I’d like to get at least one game, maybe two games, in before the break. But it really depends on how the running goes this week and how good I feel.”
-- Forward-center Cody Zeller was cleared for non-contact drills after missing the past six games with a strained right shoulder. Zeller had been filling in for Jefferson, averaging 10.3 points and 6.4 rebounds in 25 starts. He has been sidelined since injuring the shoulder in a loss at Oklahoma City on Jan. 20.
-- Guard Jeremy Lamb (right great toe strain) participated in his first contact drills Tuesday, but he’s listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game.
-- Point guard Kemba Walker sat out Tuesday’s practice for treatment on his sore left knee, which began hurting Sunday against the Lakers. He’s questionable for Wednesday’s game.
-- Guard Nicholas Batum, who has missed four of the past six games with a right second toe strain, is doubtful for Wednesday. He sat out most of Tuesday’s practice, only participating in shooting drills.

Oh, and there was also this gem on MKG's sudden return and workload:
"Playing so many minutes goes against Clifford’s philosophy of slowly returning players back from injuries."
