Great game. Was happy to see everyone involved and efficient.

Kobe decided to take us back in time a little bit this time around.

I still can't imagine the Lakers without Kobe next season. Such a weird feeling.

So, Byron will command the tank till the end of the season. Whose genius was this decision? :)))

Sucks we had to pull out the win but the Kobe moments are just amazing to see. I'll take those when I can get them even if we have to win a game or two in the process.

Just can't fathom watching a team like this without Kobe. I'll still do it, because I'm an idiot and a Lakers diehard, but unless we get the Number 1 pick or finally have a good free agency, it's going to be ugly for a while.

Sam Mitchel may not only be the worst coach in the NBA, but maybe the worst coach the NBA has seen in many many years
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

I dont see minn ever being successful until they find that generational talent in the draft. They had good coaches here and there and good talent since kg era but never did much...even with kg they only had that 1 truly successful yr when we met them in wcf

If it doesn't happen with Wiggins and Towns, it is never gonna happen

Im betting against that, theyve been picking in the lottery for a decade now, best theyve done was 9th place in the west

Towns will be that generational talent, Wiggins I'd be shocked

If Wiggins can find a coach that can light a fire under his ass, he might get there. He has tons of athleticism, great shooting stroke and the makings of a post game. He might never be the kind of facilitator we've seen Kobe and T-Mac be but as a SF, he has ample skill to be a perennial all star. Unfortunately he plays for a franchise that has naturally low expectations, hasn't developed a player other than KG and even now has no direction at all.

I can see Wiggins being more like a worse 3 point shooting Klay Thompson with a superior inside game, but thats probably not what you're looking for when your prospect was touted as the next LeBron since he made his college choice.

Rubio needs catch and shoot three-point shooters, and a good p/r big man. Towns floats around, he's never really involved in many plays.

Speaking of Towns, he's got that all around game, but he's a little soft. He avoids contact. He'll get better, but right now he seems to be getting by on purely his skills, and Sam Mitchell isn't doing him any favors. He just needs to get involved more, because he should be a matchup problem and a triple threat. Towns will most definitely be elite, but he's looking more like Chris Bosh. More finesse.

Rubio's lack of a shot really hurts him; when defenders play off him and cover passing lanes and the drive, he can't do anything. A nonfactor in the fourth after some really good stretches in the game. He deferred to Zach Lavine down the stretch.

Not Wiggins...because Wiggins also can't shoot. Wiggins also can't really put the ball on the ground and break down a defense. Lack of ball handling and playmaking. He's doing a lot of iso, post-ups, or catch-and-shoots. But maybe that will be his ceiling, who knows? A bigger issue is why he's not a lockdown defender, because he just let a 37 year old Kobe go off. He needs to add some skills. He really can't create his own shot.

A lot of talent on that Minny team, they're just mostly young, they need to develop. But in a few years, they can start looking pretty nasty.

But I love Zach LaVine, the guy can hit the three, drive, pass...and he's got that chip/aggression that Wiggins lacks. Once Zach fills out in a couple years, he's going to be able to finish with contact and have better explosion. He's got all the skills though, with heart.

He'd be a much better backcourt partner for Russell than Clarkson.
