I also see a lot of you hoping for the NY pick in any sort of deal.

I say this with a lot respect, but its HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY unlikely the pick will be involved. I'll estimate it to around 99% that ujiri doesnt deal the pick.

Ujiri was quoted a month ago as to saying that the NY pick is extremely valuable and is not being moved unless its packaged for a superstar type player

Replace the draft pick with Caboclo - because as we know he was two years away from being two years away

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine

No draft pick
cap dollars are close
two expirings in JJ and Scola who would not be needed with Kieff
Suns can buy out both - so Scola can go to San Antonio or OKC for the playoffs

I personally take Caboclo (sp) over a draft pick

Raptors fan here....was perusing to see what PHX fans were thinking of this rumour.

Curious to see what people would think about this deal:

Morris/Tucker to Toronto

Patterson/James Johnson/D. Wright or Powell/2016 Raptors pick/2017 LAC pick to PHX.

What are the chances this is actually legit? Ujiri meeting with McD does sound too good to be true.

Honestly if caboclo was the reason a trade was being held up, i think masai is gonna for it. Raptors already have a lot of rookies rotting on the bench due to the depth we have. Not to mention the amount of picks we have for the future.

I think McD is going to want Carroll. He's injured right now, but he hasn't done much for Toronto. I know they wanted him in FA.

replace Powell with Cabolco and the 2017 Clippers pick
Suns already have two picks this draft and possibly Bogdanovich coming over; push out the pick to 2017 to have two picks , well, three, including I think the Miami protected pick

Mkes no sense for the raptors to trade him. Carrol is gonna be extremely important for the raps come playoff time. Plus they just signed him to a contract this past offseason, no way the raps just give on him in half a year

Carrols contract is pretty bad. Plus he would block Warren. I think I pass on Carroll unless we dumped say, Tyson Chandler

I think having Tyson is exactly the reason we would want Carroll. I listened to all of McD's interviews/press conferences this week. His biggest thing was that we needed to get the talent level up, trading two of our best players for scraps isn't doing that. I think him and Sarver are going to want to compete next season.

Asif - do you think the Raptors have need for Teletovic in addition to Tucker and Kieff?

I'm sure McD wants him because the rumor was we are one of the three teams that wanted him in that draft. MIght have taken him instead of Bogdan had he been there.

I'm sure fans would hate to do a deal like that, but obviously it helps them be more competitive now imo. I doubt Ujiri would give him up though, but it would be nice.

Yeah, Zach Lowe kind of mentioned that you guys should go for Morris if you don't have to trade a pick, and that he hates trading firsts. I guess it depends on what is more important....going all in this year to try and knock out the Cavs, or hoping you can get an impactful guy in the likely late lottery (of a bad draft) for the future.

I think Markieff and Tucker would really ball for you guys though.

With the Raptors over the cap - Sunsgoing to have to take back about 10m or so if they trade both Kieff and Tucker

Pat Patt and JJ seem like no brainers

Is it Cabolco? Ross? Scola?

I think I like PP, JJ and Cabolco with a draft pick for Tucker and Kieff

Honestly i dont see it, just based on the depth chart. He's not a bad player and is shooting the ball really well this season, but he just wouldnt garner much playing time. casey has a stern/strict 9 or 10 man rotation. Our depth chart would look like

Lowry/Joseph
Derozan/Ross
Carrol/Tucker
Kieff/Scola
Val/Biyombo

Dont see Tele cracking that.
