Can we please stick this thread and post here as much as we can? This is the only way to not make this board the most depressing place in the internet.

We have ZERO need for a shooting guard.

We are already set there with Booker, Knight, Goodwin and Bogdanovic.

Bogdanovic has been the best young player in Europe for the last 2 years. He is going to play minutes off the bench as soon as he gets here.

So 2017 draft is expected to be very good?
My dream would be trading Kieff and Tucker for lottery pick/young prospect and trading Bledsoe at the draft day fot top 5 pick. Then develop youngsters for a year and get another hight pick in 2017. I wouldn't mind a year of sucking if it mean young guys playing.

Really??? I think we SURELY need Buddy.

Even if we have a number of guards on our roster, we need to get rid of almost all of them, save for Booker. BB will join the Suns in 2017. Why do we have to prepare his spot right now? Do you guarantee that Bogdanovic will be way better than Buddy Heild?

No matter whether or not he is a guard, we ABSOLUTELY need to collect real talents.

Heild would be the best one in the 2016 draft.

McD is collecting talent since he started his job and people are mad at him that he created dysfunctional team.
Maybe Hield has star potential. Maybe he will be evident BPA when Suns pick. But if there is a wing with similar level of talent then Suns should get the wing over another undersized sg.

Thoughts on Zhou Qi:

This kid could really turn a franchise around. The amount of hype he would draw from Chinese fans would be insane if he turned out to be a half decent player (especially with Kobe retiring). PLUS he's not the worst guy playing in transition. If he could handle the ball that would make him even more of a hype machine. The thought of a Chinese Porzee might explode the NBA.

As for his game, there's nothing much to it. Gobert had the same weaknesses and played against a similar level of competition (and was drafted in the same range). Kristaps had the same "lack of feel" coming into the league. His shot mechanics aren't bad. The thing that could turn him into a good player will be his attitude and work ethic. That's what will get his frame filled out.

Qi is a C, like Len, like Chandler, I mean, the two best prospects in the Draft are forwards and Phoenix needs that badly, it should be an easy call.

Was watching Kris Dunn's video on dxpress, was very impressed, but then something caught my attention. One of his strenghts was "upside", despite him being 23 years old.

Then I found out he has had 2 surgeries on his shoulder already, and sat out for almost 2 years of his college career.

This is both good and bad. He has less experience than his age shows, but two serious injuries so young are a big red flag.

Yes, many think the top 3, if they could come out of high school, would be in the top 5, or perhaps even the top 3 this year, and people who were expected to go high lottery this year, but might wait until next year, are projected to go late lottery, and guys earlier projected to go late lottery this year are projected in the 20s this year. Granted, that second part is due to guys coming along more slowly than anticipated, but it does seem better (or as good at the top) and much deeper according to what I have read.

So this mean Suns will finish next season with 14th pick. We only have high pick in bad drafts.

I think McDonough looks to trade the pick if it isn't top 2.

If its for a 2017 pick from Boston via Brooklyn I'd be all for it. I'm sure McD would have to get a little creative though.

I am kind of old school on this. If you get a top 5 pick, you make the pick. You do not trade it. You get those so seldom, unless you are Cleveland, Minny, or Philly.

Simmons is pushing really hard to be a Laker (so everyone knows they'll get the #1)
we'll have to battle against philly and brooklyn for the #2.

Really? Just like last year and year before?

If draft lottery is indeed rigged NBA certainly wouldn`t allow freaking Cavaliers to have 3 first picks in 4 drafts. That`s obviously pure luck, as far as I am concerned, and basketball gods know we are due some of it.

Man, Booker and Simmons (with Len, Warren and Goodwin plus couple of vets like Bledsoe, Chandler, Leuer...) would be a fun to watch.

I'm pretty sure the NBA wanted to sell the Cinderella Story and help out the Prodigal Son upon his return back home. Cavs will never win a ring though even with Bron, they are a tier below the Spurs/Dubs and only slightly better than OKC. The WCF will be the real Finals
