I know, right! At first I was worried it was gonna get too corny but they walked the line well.

I know Rondo and Rudy are good friends but Rondo has to see how well he plays with Cousins when making his decision.

Good amount of Rondo's success is a result of Karl allowing Rondo to do his own thing on offense. Chances are if we get another coach in here, that coach may not allow RR such a long leash, thus turning into Dallas for RR.

All things considered I'd be more than happy to let Rondo walk if that means we can bring in a less ball dominant and better defensive PG like Conley. I'm honestly not a huge fan of Rondo's game. He turns the ball over stupidly multiple times a game. He compromises our defense by not being able to stay in front of his man. And when he's in the game you're forced to play "Rondo Ball" i.e. watch him pound the ball for the entire shot clock and hopefully make something happen. He's such an atypical player that you almost have to have the entire roster and game plan tailored for him.

That being said I think his best attribute for us is that he's the only real leader on the team. Chances are we keep him so moving forward I would like to see us (1) operate with our SG defending the ball on defense so try and mask Rondo's deficiencies on that end, (2) have him stop crashing the glass so often compromising our transition defense, and (3) drill into his head that he shouldn't be trying to make the home run pass 12 time a game.

Conley? Do you have any more alternatives to Rondo you want to see? Thats one of the more sought after FAs that will be on the market possibly getting max as teams have a lot to spend as the cap rises

Rondo isn't perfect, and his turnovers at times and lack of D attention at times hurt. IMO I think the total package is more positive than bad,and there won't be a lot of alternatives in FA this year

I hate to beat the Karl horse but if he is replaced I can see Rondo doing better defensively on another system, and hope Ben improves to being that perimeter defender he has been attempting and making some strides to being

I'm jumping on board the Stephenson bandwagon myself. And Vlade needs to be looking at players in the 32-36 range right now. Those are the vets capable of helping a team get to the promised land. I've never understood the logic of an age cut off limit if they are still on top of their game, I mean look at the Kings own history. Going by those rules they never would have looked at Doug Christie or Vlade. Those were arguably the fuel for the fire with those teams. Reddicks probably got the 2-3 most impactful years of his career left.

There aren't many free agents this year. Ultimately, our best option is going to be Rondo. My hope is he has a Jason Kidd esque second half of his career where he turns into a good three point shooter. He's already improved this season. Plus we should be hiding him off the ball as much as possible. I don't think scheme accounts for his man blowing by him seemingly at will.

If someone had a legitimate source, do you really think the source would want to see their information posted on a forum?

It's completely anonymous, and a source can have all kinds of motivation.

If the was truley offered how the hell is it not done yet. Russell is the real deal with a dumbass coach and the likes of Kobe/Lue Will. Hibbert can get 10-15mpg backing up DMC.

Also Hibbert is expiring so we are clearing 14mill. We can than offer a contract to a guy like Batumor Barnes.

Rondo
Russell
Barnes

Bucks fan here. dozencousins' posts have made the Kings board my 2nd favorite after ours. And that's even aside from Milwaukee being included in his lists of teams talking with Sacramento!

We have had / do have legit inside sources on our board. Based on how many things he reportedly has gotten right I don't see any reason to discount his information. That's especially considering he so recently posted about the Rudy Gay to NO trade talk weeks before it was reported.

Thanks for what you're doing, dozencousins! Don't let the haters prevent your presence here. The 'ignore' feature is a good one, and the broader community has your back.

I can honestly say I place an infinitely greater amount of confidence in what dozencousins says than some "legitimate" media types (I'm looking at you Sheridan, Broussard, and Boucher).

I'm not sure why some have gone out of their way to be negative or challenging towards his posts. I think we have a "silent majority" issue here where many visitors to the site appreciate reading dozencousins' posts but do not actively engage in the conversation, whereas a few nagative nancies just can't keep themselves from consistently posting challenges to his legitimacy.

Just 1 directly so far however it is not just the KIngs so it is hard to say if it will be us or not .

Boston Celtics Danny Ainge is going to really stir things up soon he is going to several of his picks for Big named players '

3 Big names he is going to offer picks for Cousins , Love & D.Howard . How do I know this ? He contacted us today & offered us 2 x #1 draft picks plus for Cousins . Kings as of now declined . Ainge made it clear that if we won't take his deal then he said he will soon enough offer the same deals for Love & Howard . He made it crystal clear Cousins is his the guy he wants the most .

Most notable names likely to be traded :

D.HOWARD
H.BARNES
R.GAY
R.ANDERSON
M.CONELY
K .LOVE
P.GASOL
M.MORRIS
L.STEPHENSON
K.MARTIN
C.KAMAN
C.ANDERSON
T.YOUNG
LAWSON
ARIZA
GORDON
T.EVANS
CELTICS #1 DRAFT PICKS
C.LEE
N.YOUNG
T.ALLEN
T.CHANDLER
C.FRYE
K.FARRIED
J.J. HICKSON
T. MOSGOV
D.LEE
T.GIBSON

I in no way expect all of these names to be traded . These are names that either have been offered to the Kings or what I know of to be on the block by other GM'S .
There are more than what I listed but I am not going to list more right now .

How about Harrison Barnes for WCS?

Hell No.... WCS will be a DPOY player you don't trade that unless you're getting an all star. That and the fact the barnes can be had in FA if he wants to come here you offer GS Ben in a sign and trade. Love is the only player on that list if trade WCS for Holford also

I can see why the Kings are eyeing Oladipo. I recently read he holds people to a 28.8% average from three point territory, below their collective 34.9% average. So he's an elite three-point defender and he can put up Rudy-type scoring numbers when called upon to do so. He averaged 18 points last year when he played more minutes and got more shot attempts. It's a short backcourt with him and Rondo, but I think it's worth a try as long as we don't have to give up Cauley-Stein (I'm taking it as a given that Rondo and Cousins are untouchable). If it doesn't cost us Gay, I'd do it in a heartbeat. If it does, I'd still consider it.

Who do we want from the Bucks that's available? I'm only hearing Carter-Williams and Monroe's names. Sounds like Giannis, Parker, and Middleton are not available. Carter-Williams cannot shoot the basketball, but he is a good defender. If we got Ryan Anderson, maybe a lineup of Rondo/Carter-Williams/Casspi/Anderson/Cousins could work. But if we don't plug shooters in at the 3 and 4, that is Cousins triple-teams all day. Monroe presents a different issue. I like Cauley-Stein starting next to Cousins and think he's a better complement given his defense and athleticism. I guess it worked for Memphis somewhat with two post up bigs, but I have doubts that that's our answer.

Last trade deadline , my post via the 1st of jan this thread posted 2 -3 weeks before anyone else reported anything of the kind via internet . I guess I have no inside info or knowledge if that's what you think .
It is a shame that you are trying to ruin this board for me & all I am doing is posting truths as I know them .
I don't need this none sense you are dishing out and negativity . I don't need it at all .
This is how I get treated for giving the info . I will do you a favor and I will just stop posting the info . I thought my info & sometimes insight would be appreciated but it's not . You are helping to ruin my experience on this board both as a fan of the Kings and me giving info . You as well are ruining it for those on hear whom actually cared for the info because I will now not post it as again the disrespect you are giving to me is not needed .

In closing I do post actual goings on & truths however reality is if you thought I was a liar then you should just keep that to yourself am I hurting you or anyone else here ? = No . If you thought that of me just ignore me and just don't believe me . I don't care . It takes a bigger person to not say anything to those whom are doing nothing to you . But a person whom is looking for problems will always look for ways to say something mean or rude to others and it comes so easy to them .

I am very sure that if no trade is done or if one happens not exactly as I said you will criticize me even more .
If we did a trade as I have said or mentioned in your eyes I guess it was a lucky guess .
No matter Take care again I just don't deserve this type of treatment benchmobbin02 . By the way Thank You Codydaze & City of Trees for having my back the last few days with other rude members .

Dozencousins,

I had a source for my Flyers a few years back. Super legit source. I told forum members that Jeff Carter and our captain Mike Richards were going to be traded to LA. Everyone yelled at me and told me I'm full of it and get off the forum. Turns out I was right. Everyone was in shock and a few people apologized.

That being said, I believe you. And I don't like the fact that my Sixers inquired about Gay. We are not ready for a vet yet. After the draft, yes. But we cannot lose worst record to Lakers.

I follow Kings, LAL and Sixers the most out of all the teams. I cannot see Cousins being dealt yet. Kings need to start winning some games because Denver and NOP are making moves. Of course Id love for Kings to be 6th worst... get me those lottery ball odds! :P

DozenCousins and other people have said LA like Gay. Blake is on the block so is Monroe so here's a three way.

Sacramento: Blake Griffin, Crawford
Clippers: Gay, Monroe, Collison
Bucks: WCS, Lance, Belinelli

We are adding a MVP caliber player next to DMC this probably means we don't get the 8th seed but walking into next year with 2 top 10 players makes us contenders. And I'm not talking contenders for the 8th seed

Cousins and Griffin hate each other. I don't really like it.

Return to Sacramento Kings
