Neal has been a terrific offensive player off the bench this year.

And yet somehow manages to have a catastrophicly bad on /off number. Dude cannot defend and pounds the rock way too much. He is not good, even for a bench player.

I didn't say he was good. You were the one who said his chucking made him a poor player, chucking isn't why he's bad.

We have our true lineup back, Dud isn't out of shape like the start of the year, Wall isn't in November suck mode, and everyone knows the system now. Beal & Porter are better after watching, we have the 2nd easiest schedule the rest of the way, and we should be motivated after playing solid against the champs on the big stage.

I predict we go atleast 25-10 the rest of the way, Wall will look damn near MVP like, him and Beal won't be laughed at again for there backcourt boasting, we will be legit EC contenders, and most trams won't be able to hang with our electric offense. We will be explosive and running teams out the gym

Chucking isn't the only reason I think he is a priece of crap. That should be evident by my posting history on him.

Also wtf at drew Gooden. He along with Neal are such a detriment most of the time. Has an open lane to drive to the rim and pulls up for a mid range 2 lol. What trash.

There's no reason to complain about his offense. He's an efficient scorer with a moderately high usage. He doesn't turn it over. Complaining about his chucking doesn't make sense.

I agree about Gooden.

There is no ball movement with him. Even if he makes his shots at a relatively decent rate he completely phases other players out of possessions. That is not something we should champion. It is something Beal did a lot last season and is seemingly doing a bit less. Neal's only redeeming quality is shooting. Nothing else. He is a human wasteland if he isn't making his semi contested mid range 2s. It'd make sense to play him had we stallworth defenders at the rim and on the perimeter, but, we don't... so we can't cover up for his inabilities. It is not coincidental that we almost always hemorrhage point differentials when he is on the court. :/

The other day I said I thought he should be helping out more on the defensive boards, so he goes out and gets 13 of them. Woot.

Wall and Cousins each get triple double on the same night. Still, Sac somehow loses to Brooklyn.

It was prolly consensual. I mean, I doubt you'd turn down Oubre, right? :P

No but really, I'm not a fan of the three guard line ups when we're already deficient in bigs and team rebounding. Philly played very hard to end the 3rd and the rest of the way. If we played with that much effort and energy it could go a long way in trying to make a decent run. Here is hoping.

didnt see the game. I expected a 10+ point win. Looking at the box score, I see Wall with the triple-double. I hope its the start of many more to come.

Beal played quite well I thought. Definitely looked like a great second banana to Wall. If only he could play at that level for 70ish games per year we would be set.

Woulda loved some KO. I miss KO....

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Exactly, this team is primed for a post-ASG run. And for those complaining about Neal, once Anderson gets back he'll eat those minutes as a better defender and more efficient shooter. Go Wiz!

Neal is shooting splits are 47-42-85. His shooting has been efficient, it's just the defense that has been the issue.

I'm not sure Anderson will come back and take Neal's spot either. This has been a lost season for him, and it'll be tough for him to supplant a guy in midseason form.

Was in attendance in the game last night and I noticed a couple things. Wall came out wanting to prove something, wanting to be the best player on the court after being second or third fiddle to Durant/Westbrook/Curry. This performance shows its something he should/could do every game however his defense can be atrocious at times i.e communication on the defensive end on the floor. He has very little communication on screens combined with his ole defense at times, makes for opposing points to have big nights game in and game out.

Althought it was the 76ers, Beals influence in the starting lineup provided a different type of energy and attack to begin a game and it showed with the spacing and 38 pt output in the first. It did however weaken the bench scoring, should get better but Nene being out doesnt help either. Talking about Neal and Gooden, the person who shouldnt be on the court is Blair. Undersized with no defensive or offensive talent. He is a liability on the court.

Finally, you would think that against the worst team in the NBA that there would be more home team fans in the building. It was about 50/50 and that was sad. I would say winning would change that but i highly doubt that until or if we get to the playoffs when all the bandwagoners show up. It makes me sick that i can hear myself yell.

Return to Washington Wizards
