2/5 Pacers at Hawks

Post#1 » by Chrile » Fri Feb 5, 2016 9:27 am

I just found a quite interesting and funny stat regarding tonights game:

In 6 games against Indiana, Dennis Schröder averages 4.3 points and 1.8 assists in 12.3 minutes. His career averages are 8.5 points and 3.6 assists in 18.2 minutes. He never scored more than 6 points and only once had more than 2 assists (namely 4).
In my opinion this is even more remarkable, as the Pacers did have one of the worse PG-Rotations in the league (of course we have the exclude, that PG has a different meaning in Indiana than elsewhere :P ).

So I'm quite excited to see if Dennis will continue to struggle against them or have kind of a "breakout game" for this particular opponent.

Sometimes there are just strange phenomenons regarding a single player vs a specific team.

I think George Hill and Frank Vogel have it out for Dennis Schroder...

Tonight, they just might finish the job.

Hawks are favored to win by 5 points.
Indiana has won the previous two meetings.

Guessing off the top of my head but It's Jeff Teague's home town so Coach Bud probably lets him player longer.

Dennis is breaking out tonight, he's finally gonna end his struggles against Indy.

Pacers came out red hot. Hopefully they cool off in the 2nd quarter

Not feeling them too much tonight.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

At some point Bud is going to stop giving Korver starter minutes, hopefully it's soon.

This prediction hasn't come to fruition halfway through. Hopefully a better second half for Dennis.

Man, I love Al Horford!!!!

Dennis' defense is impressive tonight.

We suck at rebounding.

Millsap is playing so well...shame he's stuck on a mediocre team. We should demand a ransom for him. Cause that did s laying the best basketball of his life.

Suddenly this prediction is proving prescient. DS now has 9 points and a team high 7 assists.

Not sure if that's Paul George out there or if that's Steph Curry disguised as Paul George.

Millsap is our only source of offense in the half court. Imagine if we didn't resign him...we might be in the lottery right now.

Maybe...unless we used that $20 million to bring in another player or two.

Great win at home. When it came down to crunch time Teague and Horford hit two big shots off the 1-5 picknroll to seal the deal.

I love to see Bud pull the guys off the floor at a time like HS.

Letting each guy get some applause from the home crowd.

First time in franchise history IND lost when out-rebounding their opponent by 20+.

down the stretch of a tight game, Hawks played two n game with Horford in the MIF RANGE.

That was a very effective approach.

Nice adjustment...
