Of the 6 guys McD has drafted in the first round, 5 seem to be real core pieces. That's phenomenal and incredibly rare. Ennis is the only one who isn't,and he could end up a player still. Who knows, he's very young. Rebuilding was never going to be easy or quick.

He's not perfect, no. But Hornacek was fired now of all times because this organization has reached a point where it's clear they just won't move forward with him. You could even tell the Suns were hesitant about firing him too, because of the assistant firing. Many people felt that Horny should've been fired way back then. Obviously McD cares about his own job, but to say that this move was all to save it at everyone else's expense cannot even be proven.
