A high lottery pick would do this franchise some real good; whereas a middling .500 record and possibly an 8 seed in the playoffs would actually hurt.
Skiles was an awful hire and he definitely wasn't hired to oversee a dumpster fire, but the best thing for the franchise is to lose as much as possible. A top
5 pick in this lottery could result in that cataclysmic player we lack. Heck, it might even end up being Simmons.
