J.J. Watt is a 3-time DPOY

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Sun Feb 7, 2016 4:13 pm

Only other guy in NFL history to do that was Lawrence Taylor. Not bad company there!

As a Texans fan it has been great to watch this guy develop as a player over the past few years. I love that he still carries a grudge against anyone who ever doubted him in the past and is still wanting to prove them wrong. It's a nice combo - the best in the game with a chip on his shoulder.

But as a Texans fan I hope that the prime of his career is not squandered in the way that the franchise wasted so many of Andre Johnson's great years. They still need some help on the defense, but there are some solid players surrounding Watt, led by the best name in football: Mercilus. They really need to address the offense, particularly the QB position so that they don't have to hope for the Defense to bail them out as often.

Watt could play at this high level for years to come. It shouldn't be a surprise if he passes LT for the most DPOY awards when all is said & done.

His motor, his drive, his passion and the way he disrupts plays and dominates reminds me of Bob Lilly.

Would Watt be even better if they had drafted Mack with the first pick? My family hates him, but he has potential to go down as the greatest defensive player ever, so I can tolerate the hype.

He's must watch TV, which is pretty amazing for a defensive player. Guy just takes over games.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

yeah I find myself working while watching the Brian Hoyer led offense and concentrating on the game when the defense is on the field.

That entire draft was amazing.

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.
